History:
(Fantastic Four III#541 (fb) - BTS) - The man who would become Comte de Nuit's father was murdered by thieves, prompting the man to swear vengeance against all who prey on the helpless. This mission eventually led him to join the French superhero team, les Heroes de Paris.
(Fantastic Four III#541) - When the Thing arrived in Paris, France seeking to escape the United States' Superhuman Registration Act, les Heroes de Paris commander in absentia Adamantine led the Thing to le Rose et la Plume restaurant, where he introduced the Thing to Comte de Nuit and the other members of les Heroes. When Adamantine mentioned that les Heroes could use the Thing's aid against their enemy l'Empereur du Monde Souterrain, the Thing grew fond of the good old days with the Fantastic Four and he then angrily tipped les Heroes' dinner table, shouting about the heroes' Civil War. Comte de Nuit quietly asked the others what the Thing was talking about, to which la Lumiere Bleue translated the Thing's comment into French for Comte de Nuit. Later, Comte de Nuit accompanied les Heroes de Paris and the Thing against l'Empereur du Monde Souterrain and when l'Empereur was defeated by the Thing, Comte de Nuit joined les Heroes for dinner.
(X-Force IV#4 (fb) - BTS) - Comte de Nuit and his teammate Anais apparently left les Heroes de Paris for the secret spy group, le Bureau Discret.
(X-Force IV#4) - Unaware of
X-Force's plot to force
the service of his le Bureau Discret teammate, le Necrogateur, Comte de
Nuit and his teammates were contacted by Anais, who was being chased by
X-Force's Fantomex. Arriving on the scene to find Anais apparently
dead, Comte de Nuit and his teammates summoned le Necrogateur to check
her vital signs. Fantomex then attacked le Bureau Discret, punching
Comte de Nuit in the face before kidnapping le Necrogateur.
