Powers/Abilities: Doctor Octopus was a cephalopod mollusc qualified to practice medicine on his fellow aquatic species.
History: Dr. Octopus looked after the wellfare of the fish that lived nearby him, providing those that visited his undersea office with medical advice and medication.
Comments: Created by Lew Stringer. A one-panel What If?-type joke, there's very little known about this version of Dr. Octopus; he's presumably not a counterpart to the human Otto Octavius unless radiation exposure really did a number on Otto in this timeline. Perhaps he is a counterpart of the Timeslip Dr. Octopus. It's unrevealed as to how he got hold of his medical and office equipment underwater, whether the fishy patient depicted is similarly sentient, and where, if anywhere, he got himself qualified in medicine. It's debatable whether he's a doctor or a vet; arguably he's the latter, as he is attempting to treat a species other than his own.
For the sake of simplicity, we're assuming that all Lew Stringer's one-shot What If?s share a single reality, Earth-8337 (the Stringerverse or Marvel Lewniverse, if you will), excepting any cases where he might reuse a character and depict them in a fashion contradictory to their prior usage.
