History: Dr. Strange had a bizarre and monstrous appearance that shocked his patients, though he seemed unaware of this detail. Like all doctors, he seemed to enjoy playing golf, as he kept a club behind his office desk.
Comments: Created by Lew Stringer. A one-panel What If?-type joke, there's very little known about this version of Dr. Strange; he's presumably a counterpart to the Earth-616 Dr. Strange. As for his appearance, there's no clue, just guesses: simply born that way, his car crash exposed him to chemicals that mutated his appearance rather than simply damaging his hands, magical accident or victim of a magical curse (Mordo cast a spell that turned Strange into a loony monster rather than a creating a mystic gag preventing him from warning the Ancient One to Mordo's treachery)?
For the sake of simplicity, we're assuming that all Lew Stringer's one-shot What If?s share a single reality, Earth-8337 (the Stringerverse or Marvel Lewniverse, if you will), excepting any cases where he might reuse a character and depict them in a fashion contradictory to their prior usage.
