Prior to his depowering, Geech's mutant powers increased his size and mass and gave him enhanced super-strength (at least Class 10, possibly higher). Geech's mass and size also gave him increased levels of stamina and endurance, allowing him to survive a direct lightning bolt without serious injury. His considerable size did not seem to hamper his speed.

History:
(Uncanny X-Men I#450 - BTS) - When Jade Parisi, daughter of North Jersey crime boss Domenic Parisi disappeared from District X, Parisi's personal bodyguard Geech was tasked to find her. All he had to go on was the don's observation that a mutant with two claws had something to do with her disappearance. In reality, Jade had actually been saved by X-23, who kept her out of the hands of a band of North Jersey punks who wanted to teach her a lesson for dating a mutant from District X as her lover. Jade's boyfriend Matthew, at the same time, was being hounded by the Bacchae. The criminal sisterhood wanted total control over
Mutant Town and decided to target Parisi's lover to send the don a message. X-23 kept both of them out of harm's way, even as Sage learned of the situation and sent assistance in the form of a delegation of X.S.E-operatives (Bishop, Nightcrawler, Storm and Wolverine) .
(Uncanny X-Men I#451) - Figuring the two clawed mutant had to be X-23, Geech tracked her down and found Kinney in the presence of the X-Men (Bishop, Nightcrawler, Storm and Wolverine) and Jade's boyfriend Matthew. Not impressed by the X-Men, Geech tried to kidnap X-23 despite her teammates' protest. As the X-Men tried to stop him from capturing X-23, he managed to beat all of the X-Men. After striking down Bishop, he tried to grab Matthew and take off. When Storm hit him with a lightning bolt, the severe shock didn't seem to hurt him in the least, though he did admit he was impressed by the windrider's power. After surviving Storm's elemental assault, Geech was even more determined to defeat the X-Men. Wolverine jumped him and threatened to stab him in the head, even as Nightcrawler teleported in with Jade. Parisi was mad at Geech for fighting the heroes who tried to rescue her and threatening her Matthew. The girl's tirade halted Geech's assault.
(Uncanny X-Men I#451) - Geech was later seen guarding don Parisi at Matthews Double Helix restaurant.
(House of M#6 - BTS) - Geech was one of the victims of the Scarlet Witch's reality altering spell that reduced the millions of gene active mutants worldwide to less than 200.
Comments: Created by Chris Claremont, Alan Davis, and Mark Farmer.
Marvel confirmed Geech's status as a de-powered mutant in a list published in Wizard#172 (2006)...though that list was not 100% accurate, including listing some characters who were not mutants.
Though unconfirmed, Alan Davis' art suggests Geech might have been (part) Native American.
