History

(Official Marvel Index to the Fantastic Four#12 (fb) - BTS) - Master Xar was the chief scientist of Xandar and the adviser to Xandar's Queen Adora.

(Fantastic Four I#204 (fb)) - While the planet Xandar was under attack by Skrulls, Master Xar admitted to Queen Adora that he had discovered an ion light capable of transport. He then explained it could be used to transport a representative to another world, where the representative might gain allies to help defend Xandar. Despite misgivings from Nova-Prime, Queen Adora volunteered herself for the task. As Master Xar prepared the ion ray, a Skrull burst in, shoving Nova-Prime aside to capture Adora. Master Xar shoved Adora into the ion ray and Adora was transported to Earth.

(Fantastic Four I#205) - When Queen Adora returned with three of Earth's Fantastic Four (the Human Torch remained on Earth), Master Xar informed her about Nova-Prime, who had been hit by a blast intended for Adora as Adora was entering the ion ray. When Skrulls attacked Xandar once more, Master Xar gave the Fantastic Four anti-gravity belts to allow them to fly into battle. During the course of the battle, the Fantastic Four were captured by the Skrulls. Master Xar reported to Queen Adora of their capture.

(Fantastic Four I#206) - After Queen Adora attempted to give a speech to inspire the other Xandarians, she confessed to Master Xar that the Xandarians seemed to be doomed. Xar attempted to remind her that there was always hope just as Nova-Prime awakened from his earlier injuries.

(Fantastic Four I#209 (fb) - BTS) - Master Xar used Xandar's Living Computer system to aid Reed Richards in the creation of the H. E. R. B. I. E. robot, adapting its technology into H. E. R. B. I. E. to create a permanent link between Xandar and Earth via the robot.

(Fantastic Four I#209) - When Mr. Fantastic introduced the H. E. R. B. I. E. robot to the other members of the Fantastic Four, Master Xar commented that he was pleased that the science of Xandar's Living Computer was able to aid in H. E. R. B. I. E.'s creation. He then explained that creating a permanent link between Xandar and Earth via H. E. R. B. I. E. was the least Xandar could do to show appreciation for the Fantastic Four's aid.

(Fantastic Four I#214) - Master Xar was present standing next to Queen Adora when the Human Torch contacted Xandar in hopes that they might know a way to reverse the effects of a Skrull Aging Ray that had affected the other three members of the Fantastic Four.

(Rom#24 - BTS) - Master Xar was presumably present on Xandar when it was attacked by Skrulls posing as the Champions of Xandar.

Comments: Created by Marv Wolfman, Keith Pollard and Joe Sinnott.

The Official Marvel Index to the Fantastic Four#12 listed Rom#24 as an appearance of Master Xar, yet I could find no panel with him on it. One could assume he was probably around the throne room somewhere when the Skrulls attacked.

His hair color would likely have been black based on the eyebrows.
