History:
(Marvel Spotlight I#30) - In his taxi cab at night, Myron Maxwell was hailed by the Warriors Three (Fandral, Hogun, Volstagg), who were exploring New York. Unsure of their unusual accents and costumes but told they sought entertainment, Maxwell drove them to hot spots he thought they would like. However, traffic was blocked at one point due to the apparently suicidal Mary Miller, whom Fandral rescued from a building ledge. She joined the others in the taxi as Fandral had promised to help her fiance, Arnold Slackmyster, who had fallen in with thieves robbing the Diamond Jewelry Exchange that night. Maxwell drove them there and as usual, waited in the cab. The vagabond Ragland Peppermill helped the Warriors Three deal with the thieves. Peppermill identified where the missing Slackmyster went and joined the others in the taxi-ride to the waterfront. Maxwell drove them to McGinty's Bar, where the Warriors Three and Peppermill went to look for Slackmyster. Inside, a fight erupted, begun by Big Bull Bulowsky. Meanwhile, from the cab, Miller saw her fiance and brought him back to the taxi. Maxwell stayed by his cab as the others all joined each other on the pavement. Fandral ordered Maxwell drive everyone to the nearest Justice of the Peace so that Miller and Slackmyster could marry immediately. Dismissing Maxwell's concern that the fare had already reached $17.50, Fandral then told Maxwell to take the newlyweds to Niagara Falls before passing a small pouch of gold coins that left Maxwell very happy.
