History: (Web of Spider-Man I#125/2 (fb) ) - Before he "died", Miles Warren planned for his clones to have the happy domestic life he never had. He programmed a clone of himself, dubbed Warren Miles, to build that life, and to find his Gwen Stacy clone.
(Web of Spider-Man I#125/1 (fb) ) - Miles became a teacher in suburban Ridgefield Valley, New Jersey.
(Web of Spider-Man I#125/2) - Miles found her in a cabin in upstate New York in a catatonic state, having discovered that she was really a clone. He nursed her back to health, and they fell in love. He asked her to marry him, and she agreed; they were wed in a small ceremony, by a wedding party composed entirely of clones.
(Web of Spider-Man I#125/1 (fb) ) - Building himself a lab in his garage, Miles worked tirelessly to cure clone degeneration to save himself and his wife, and prepared for the day that Peter Parker, who he blamed for the deaths of the original Gwen Stacy and Miles Warren, would come for them.
(Web of Spider-Man I#125/1) - When Peter Parker (clad as the Scarlet Spider for reasons too arcane to get into here) came to the Miles' home looking for clues to the Jackal's recent return, Miles stunned him with a taser and told Gwen to pack up and leave. Terrified of Spider-Man, they got in their car and sped to New York, where they were followed by both Parker and the heroic Green Goblin (who only wanted to stop them from endangering other motorists). Driving erratically on the George Washington Bridge, they burst through a closed toll gate, only for the Goblin to hit the car with a gas-grenade. The car spun out of control and hit the side of the bridge. The Goblin scooped up Gwen and took her to safety atop the bridge, but Miles lost it, seeing both of his wife's "murderers" in the same place. He began firing his gun wildly, only to see Gwen fall off the bridge to avoid his fire. Parker saved her, but Miles had unbalanced his car, and it plunged into the waters below. Miles was killed on impact, and his body immediately began to degenerate.
Comments: Created by Terry Kavanagh, Steven Butler, and Randy Emberlin.
I'm not sure who the wedding party were supposed to have been cloned from - when they degenerate, they kinda looked like melty versions of Miles Warren, so maybe they were modified clones of him (even the female organist).
Profile by Minor Irritant.
