History:
(Red She-Hulk#64 (fb)/Nova VI#4 (fb) - BTS) - Mole Monster was born to the female Deviant Kyzerra Os and Mole Man. Kyzerra raised him when Mole Man left soon after.
(Red She-Hulk#64 (fb) - BTS) - Mole Man was respected in the subterranean realms and Mole Monster drew on that birthright. He and Mole Man had an understanding over which subterranean realms to rule. Mole Monster apparently did not reveal his family heritage to his father. Commanding a subterranean kingdom that served as a sanctuary for underground creatures, but not humans, Mole Monster had several skirmishes with oil drillers.
(Red She-Hulk#63) - Hunting for the world computer known as the Terranometer, Red She-Hulk and Machine Man chanced upon Mole Monster and his Moloid followers.
(Red She-Hulk#64) - Red She-Hulk and Machine Man sought to fight, but Mole Monster, considering them not human and hence not a threat, ordered his giant worm Megatu to swallow the two and excrete them in his royal chamber. There, he showed them the thousands of creatures that formed part of his kingdom's denizens. Defiant, Red She-Hulk attacked the creatures, but Mole Monster had another of his beasts, Slaggah, stop her and he welcomed the two to dinner. Mole Monster then spoke of the underground passages that led to a second access pyramid to the Terranometer and which were revered by the subterraneans. Mole Monster took the two by boat on a lava river. Surviving an attack by Lava Men protecting the pyramid, they entered the edifice. The Tesla intelligence in the Terranometer expelled the intruders, sending Mole Monster back aboard his boat.
(Nova VI#4 (fb) - BTS) - Seeking vengeance on his
father for abandoning him and for his obsession with the surface world
rather than looking after Subterranea, Mole Monster amassed an army and
waged a war against Mole Man. Mole Monter saw his father as useless and
sought to replace him.
(Nova VI#3) - Chasing scavenging Moloids underground, Nova
(Alexander), Spider-Man (Morales) and Ms. Marvel (Khan) came across
Mole Man, who told them his son was waging war on him.
(Nova VI#4) - Nova charged ahead and confronted Mole Monster and his underground army. Captured, Nova tried to reason with Mole Monster, but he remained defiant. Nova was rescued by Spider-Man and Ms. Marvel, who saw it as not their fight and overwhelming odds to be tackled another day.
(Nova VI#9 (fb) - BTS) - Mole Monster captured Mole
Man and had his father imprisoned in his dungeons.
(Nova VI#8) - Coincidentally, Nova was nearby when Mole Monster smashed through a busy New York street astride a toothed
giant monster worm, declaring the end of the surface world.
(Nova VI#9) - Leading armed goblin-esque Moloids,
Mole Monster was disappointed at the apparent lack of super-heroes to
confront him and again mocked the young Nova charging at him. But Nova
knocked Mole Monster off his steed and the villain beat a hasty retreat
underground, his troops following him.

It would seem that Mole Monster's Moloids were a variant of those commanded by Mole Man. They were darker yellow in hue with language and independent thought, but looked more like muscled orcs. Maybe they were mutated by the Terranometer or were just a different race of Moloids...?
