other, more offensive ways such as blasts or beams (see
comments).

History: (Generation X I#57 (fb) - BTS) - The mutant known as Nocturne came under
the influence of Emplate. He forced her to join his other new recruit
Wrap along with D.O.A. and Vincente as he once again tried to capture
Penance. The "Hellions" were sent to the Massachusetts Academy where
Penance was living. To make sure his underlings would not be
interrupted, Emplate kept Generation X distracted by attacking during
the Academy's annual spring dance.
(Generation X I#57) - Nocturne and the others cornered Penance in
her attic living quarters. D.O.A., acting as the team's field leader,
urged "his goons" to grab the diamond hard girl. Wrap was reluctant to
follow this order, fearing he might be torn by his opponent. Nocturne
mocked him for this, calling Wrap a big baby but before anything could
come of it, Chamber, M, Synch and the visiting Iceman arrived to save
their teammate. Nocturne used her powers to take control of the super
strong M moments after she had defeated Wrap. Before Nocturne could turn
Monet against her teammates, Synch's synchronistic aura copied
Nocturne's ebon energies and used them against her. The shock was enough
to knock her out.
Comments: Created by Jay Faerber (writer), Darick
Robertson (pencils), Rodney Ramos and John Czop (inks).
Synch was able to knock Nocturne out by copying her abilities, though
it's unclear what he did to defeat her. He might have used the ebon
energy to blast her, or maybe having her own powers turned against her
caused some sort of seizure.
It's not been revealed what happened to Nocturne after her defeat or
whether or not she retained her powers following M-Day.
