History:
(Death's Head I#6) - Crimeboss Dead Cert tried to discredit his major rival Undertaker at every turn. So, when the Undertaker hired the assassin Big Shot to take out the vigilante bounty hunter Death's Head, Cert decided to turn this to his advantage. He hired the bomb throwing mercenary Short Fuse to kill Death's Head, hoping to claim credit for the death of the troublesome mechanoid bounty hunter.
(Death's Head I#7) - Short Fuse proved humorously incapable of killing Death's Head with his explosives. After exploding a bomb on board Death's Head's newest spacecraft, Death's Head still managed to land his craft right on top of Short Fuse's ship. Worried his employer might fire or kill him after this failure, Short Fuse was delighted to learn Dead Cert only wanted him to try again before his rival beat him to it. He tracked down Death's Head to a television studio where the bounty hunter was trying to arrest the shapeshifting criminal Photofit. Short Fuse met his untimely demise when he tried to take out Death's Head with a bomb, unaware he was facing a disguised Photofit instead. Startled, Short Fuse forgot to disarm the bomb and inadvertently died by his own hand.
