other costumed characters, wearing a Halloween-like costume.
Comments: Created by an uncredited writer & artist.
I've included an image (on the left) of the real life Spider-Woman costume for comparison.
Also, one would think that the other costumed characters produced by Ben Cooper would exist in the same universe as this Ben Cooper Spider Woman. Therefore, I have placed the ones seen or mentioned in advertisements and catalogs alongside Spider Woman in Spider Woman's affiliations. Please note that some of the character's names in the Ben Cooper catalogs were not spelled the same as the typical counterparts. For example, Fred Flintstone was simply called "Flintstone" while Yoda, Darth Vader and Boba Fett from Star Wars were called "Yado," "Darth Vadar" and "Baba Fett," respectively. Biotron from the Micronauts was called "Micronaut," "Chips" was the name given to a police officer character intended to be one of the main characters from the TV show CHiPs and "Tom & Jerry" was the single name given to the character of Tom the Cat from the Tom & Jerry cartoons. Also, Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street was called simply "the Grouch."
I listed the only appearance of the Ben Cooper, Inc. Spider Woman character that I was aware of and could find references to but it's very possible she had appeared in numerous store advertisements and past Ben Cooper catalogs over the years. If any more are discovered, I will update this profile accordingly so if you know of any, please send them my way.
Ben Cooper's Spider Woman character, as best as my
research can determine, only appeared in a drawing in the 1980 Ben
Cooper, Inc. catalog (and well, the real life costume itself). The
drawing was only in black & white but the hair on the drawing was
not dark, suggesting that Ben Cooper's character had blonde hair (even
though on the real life costume, the mask's hair was black like
Spider-Woman's Earth-616 counterpart). One could only assume she also
had blue eyes.
All characters listed in this profile are the Earth-313710 versions unless otherwise specified.
