History:
(Ghost Rider VI#8) - After having a fun night with local boy Cameron
Fillardi, Emily Stouffer thanked him and Cameron suggested that they
could have a lot more fun. Realizing that Cameron that missed the turn
to her house, Emily insisted that she needed to get home but Cameron
refused to take care, claiming that he would be telling everyone that
they had sex the next day at school anyway. Refusing Cameron's
advances, Emily locked herself inside Cameron's car when he got out to
confront her and Cameron angrily attempted to get back into the car
before he was decapitated by an unseen assailant. Seeing a flash of
light and hearing a screeching sound, Emily asked if Cameron was ok and
soon opened the door to find the headless Cameron dead on the ground.
Emily was shortly after hospitalized, where she was tied down due to
her panicked screaming. Police Capt. Harry O'Connor visited Emily in
the hospital to hear her side of the story of Cameron's murder and
learned that all Emily had seen was the flash of light and that she had
heard the screeching sound. Harry explained to her how Cameron had been
in trouble a year prior for forcing himself on a girl and commented
that if Cameron's death was the result of her self-defense, it was
perfectly ok. Emily assured O'Connor that she did not kill Cameron and
that she had only found him dead after hearing the screeching.
Satisfied with her story, O'Connor left and phoned District Attorney
Ken Greer, informing the DA of his findings and telling Ken to leave
Emily alone.
