History:
(Uncanny X-Men I#429 - BTS) - Sanji Yamamoto got a job as a cook at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning.
(Uncanny X-Men I#429) - Preparing the day's lunch, he asked his colleague Marilyn Hannah to grab a couple of twenty-pound bags of hamburger out of the freezer. Sanji and Marilyn were surprised when they found Iceman there, who was experiencing a side effect of his secondary mutation.
(X-Men II#164) - Sanji was present when the Brotherhood of Mutants attacked Xavier's School. He watched helplessly as Marilyn died trying to save Rogue from Black Tom.
Comments: Created by Chuck Austen and Philip Tan.
Given that many of the non-mutant X-characters left
or were killed off post-M-Day and his lack of appearances since, Sanji
most likely lost his mutant powers when a reality
altering spell cast by the Scarlet Witch reduced the number of gene
active mutants to approximately 300 worldwide.
Sanji was never named on panel, his name was revealed in the Xavier Institute entry of the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A-Z I#13 (2008).
