Powers/Abilities: Aldebarans have antennas that project visual thoughts and emotions. Highly advanced with warp drive spacecraft
Traits: Mute and communicate via telepathy and sign language using their Antenna. Curling it a certain way means yes and no.

History:
(Astonishing#47/1 (fb) - BTS) - The history of the Aldebarans is a mystery. What is known is that they seemed to be an advanced and peaceful race content with exploring space and trading with other races.
(Astonishing#47/1 (fb) - BTS) - Travellers from a planet called Aldebaran, Luml and Xrtyl a male and female, visited Earth to study the animal life and befriended an old farmer and his wife and parked their space ship in their barn during a storm. They wanted a cow to bring home to Aldebaran but were unable to fit it into their small ship and settled with trading the farmer a few small animals from their planet for a pig and sheep.
The farmer's wife happily cooked the strange critters and they all sat down and ate the strange but delicious meat.
(Astonishing#47/1)- Shortly after their meal a violent thunder storm raged outside. A young reporter from the local Chronicle Newspaper whose car got stuck up the road knocked on their door looking for assistance. Meeting the farmer and his wife, the reporter was soon after introduced to Luml and Xrtyl who were preparing to leave. Luml the male Aldebaran used telepathy to communicate with the reporter the nature of their visit and was amazed and wanted to take their picture with his camera but realized he left it in his stranded car. A few minutes later when the storm somewhat subsided and with the planet in proper alignment, Luml and Xrtyl boarded their ship and set a course for their home planet. Having no proof of their existence and their visitation, the young reporter was upset he missed the possible story of the century. Unknown to him the only proof of the two aliens were bones left behind in a stewing pot from the strange otherworldly animal the farmer's wife cooked earlier that were soon eaten by their dog Rover.

Although appearing harmless and somewhat goofy, Luml and Xrtyl were a little creepy and the story itself lacked much information as to their true intentions and nature. Imagine what may or could have happened behind the scenes. The planet where Luml and Xrtyl originated from according to the image lacked any form of vegetation. These harmless aliens were more likely carnivores and possibly their society were once cannibals. If so, they were searching out planets with potential food sources that they could plunder. What did they do to the old farmer and his wife? Were they mind controlled to make them docile and willing to trade two of their own prized farm animals for some strange alien meat that they willingly cooked and ate? The farmers seemed calm about this visitation and did not seem freaked out by their appearance and shock one would expect from an encounter. The young reporter on the other hand was highly excited and amazed in comparison.
