Traits: Other than being described as primitive and willing to believe beings of power coming from the skies might be gods, nothing has been revealed about the Canticlans.

History:
(Annihilation: Heralds of Galactus#2 (fb) - BTS) - Following
the defeat of Annihilus, the Annihilation Wave
sued for truce, the devastated leaders of the Kree and perhaps other
Empires ceded numerous planets in the devastated Skrull Empire and a
number of fringe territories still disputed by the Kree. Ravenous ruled
over the ceded territories, and Centurions (the remnants of Annihilus'
elite strike force) were each granted a world of their choice to set up
their dominion.
(Annihilation: Heralds of Galactus#2 (fb) - BTS) - The Centurions came to Canticle 8, presenting themselves as gods and playing ito the inhabitants' relatively primitive mind-set.
(Annihilation: Heralds of Galactus#2 (fb) - BTS) - Firelord vowed to eradicate the Centurions ruling other worlds. He traveled to Canticle 8 and overpowered the unidentified Centurion now ruling it, as well as either defeating or slaying those aliens serving that Centurion.
(Annihilation: Heralds of Galactus#2) - Firelord finished off the Centurion, tossed him to the ground, and left the Canticlans to return to their previous way of life.

The Canticlans were only seen in 4 panels in the first page of this story, with no dialogue or other information than how the Centurions duped them into believing them to be gods. Their society and architecture seemed vaguely reminiscent of the Aztecs (or Mayans, or Incans) to me.
Firelord notes that Canticle 8 was "the fifth planet Centurions factions have tried to compromise." It is unclear whether that means that it actually was the chronologically fifth world the Centurions had dominated; or whether Canticle 8 was the fifth Centurion-dominated world Firelord had encountered/liberated; or something else entirely...
