Powers/Abilities: The Collector is extremely old. His flesh form for interaction with living beings stands 30' tall, but he can shape himself from his vast spaceship. He is virtually indestructible, and he can quickly draw upon his wide arsenal of advanced technological devices and weapons of various alien origins for defensive purposes. The Collector has a collection obsession, gathering rare live alien species, devices, and even experiences in pain. The size of his spaceship is unrevealed, but it utilizes transdimensional technology to connect individual cells with the various environments hospitable to each captive lifeform.

History:

(Avengers United They Stand#6 (fb) - BTS) - The Collector's race was allegedly born in the same explosion as the universe. He saw his purpose as gathering various forms of unique life before they were lost and collected them by dispatching intangible beam-emitting orbs that teleported the targeted beings to the Collector's ship for him to put into separate cells and/or shared environments.

The Collector determined that Earth's humankind was soon heading for a great extinction event and so wanted to add to his collection of rarities. The Collector's orbs transported 1,253 humans, plus various other "higher order" creatures, teleporting them aboard the Collector's ship, including past and present Avengers.

(Avengers United They Stand#6) - The Avengers woke confined in small separate compartments covered in glass, the filled compartments lining the walls of a long corridor, and were astonished to see the massive form of the Collector remove the latest piece gathered: the synthezoid Vision. Although the android resisted, the Collector used an alien device to reverse time briefly so that the Vision was incapacitated. The Collector next removed imperfections and diseases for separate storage using green gas, each Avenger falling unconscious from the treatment. The Collector then strode out of the corridor. Some time later, the back of the cells briefly opened and the humans were released into the the jungle-like Terra-sector 4812, where they found Koko, the quiet gorilla. The Avengers split into two groups, Captain America's investigated a nearby citadel while Ant-Man's team tried to go back into the ship via the cell doors. Ant-Man's team were confronted by the Collector's devoted servant and guardian of the doors, Moon Boy riding Devil Dinosaur.

(Avengers United They Stand#7) - Captain America's team encountered "Neanderthals" who worshiped the Collector as a god and, with the aid of scientist Dr. Richard Hawkins, deciphered that the Vibranium two-hand amulet and motif served to access other parts of the ship. They rejoined Ant-Man's team to re-access the cell corridor where they once more encountered the Collector. The combined attack of the Vision mixed with the Scarlet Witch's hex dispersed the Collector's organic flesh physical form. He formed anew from the metal bulkhead and chided the Avengers for their brash and short-sighted action billions of miles from home. Admitting they had come closest to killing him, he offered to send home those humans wishing to return to Earth; however, barely one hundred (including the Avengers) chose to do so, the rest of the humans stayed in Terra-sector 4812.

And this is where the series ended. A fun but short run - it would make a great digest collection if Marvel were to collect them.

Dr. Richard Hawkins' name seems to be an amalgam of the eminent scientists, wheelchair-bound astrophysicist Dr. Stephen Hawking and evolutionary biologist Dr. Richard Dawkins.

The character Koko would be based on the real-life Koko gorilla, who has been taught American Sign Language.

I think Captain America classing Moon Boy and his ilk as "Neanderthals" is incorrect. This trip appears to have been the Collector's first to Earth, so I'd consider them native to another world.

The Collector, Moon Boy and Devil Dinosaur have regularly appearing counterparts on Earth-616.

CLARIFICATIONS :
Collector of Earth-730834 has no known connections to:

Hawkins

Dr. Richard Hawkins

The eminent physicist Dr. Richard Hawkins was kidnapped along with Captain America by one of the Collector's orbs during the presentation of the US President's Council on American Achievement. He was imprisoned on the Collector's spaceship before being released in the jungle-like Terra-sector 4812. The Collector's disease treatments removed his physical disability, but he was captured with others by "Neanderthal" guards and flown back to their citadel. He helped deduce the "Neanderthals'" connection to the Collector and joined the Avengers-led escape. He was one of the few who decided to return to Earth, choosing to be with his wife, although his disabilities returned, impacting his movement and speech, but not his brilliant scientific intellect.

Koko

Koko

Koko had been taught American sign language on Earth, but had been captured by the Collector and was in the jungle enclosure of the Collector's ship. She sat at the doors connecting to rest of the Collector's ship and communicated to the Avengers of Moon Boy's telepathic abilities. She tried to tell Moon Boy that Ant-Man was not the god-like Collector, and on behalf of the Avengers asked Moon Boy to use Devil Dinosaur to keep the "Neanderthals" away so that the Avengers could escape.

Devil Dinosaur

Devil Dinosaur

Devil was the giant red dinosaur ridden by Moon Boy as he protected the doors that led to the rest of the Collector's ship. Devil was guided by Moon Boy's  telepathic abilities. When Moon Boy charged at the Avengers investigating the doors, Ant-Man grew giant size and knocked Devil out with one punch.

Moon Boy

Moon Boy

Considered somewhat "mad" by other "Neanderthals", Moon Boy guarded the gates that led from the jungle territory of Terra-sector 4812 to the rest of the Collector's spaceship. He could communicate telepathically with Devil Dinosaur, which he rode, plus other creatures in the area, including raptors and Koko the gorilla. He perceived the Collector as his god and sought to do his will. Knocked off his dinosaur steed by the giant-sized Ant-Man, Moon Boy briefly mistook Ant-Man for the Collector. With Koko's help, the Avengers convinced him to help them escape the jungle territory by keeping the pursuing "Neanderthals" away using his influence over the local dinosaurs.

Greymane

Greymane

Greymane was one of the older "Neanderthals". He helped capture several of the newly released captives, including Avengers, from the Collector's cells and transported them to the "Neanderthals'" citadel by a flying dinosaur creature.

Scar Eye

Scar Eye

Scar Eye was one of the "Neanderthals" who captured several of the newly released captives, including Avengers, from the Collector's cells and transported them to the "Neanderthals'" citadel by a flying dinosaur creature. He thought his council should decide the new captives' fate.

Wise Eye

Wise Eye

Wise Eye was on the "Neanderthals'" council and considered "the Chosen", the only "Neanderthal" who had seen more of the Collector's ship beyond the jungle zone. He helped perpetuate the cult of the Collector as the Giver, determining the fate of recent arrivals, and decided that the newly captured Avengers should be exiled into the dangerous forest. He wore the dual-hand amulet forged of Vibranium that provided more clues to the Avengers for escape.
