History: (X-Men Millennial Visions - "By the
Maker" (fb) - BTS) - Following his defeat at the hands of the X-Men,
Magneto allied with Deathbird of the Shi'ar and together, they gained
control of the Shi'ar Empire by murdering Lilandra. Using the Shi'ar
armies, Magneto declared war on the X-Men, killing nearly all of the
team and forcing Professor Xavier to upload his mind into the Cerebro
computer in order to save his students. Desperate, the X-Men used one
of Forge's final inventions to hyper-evolve their abilities to godlike
levels. Their abilities sufficiently evolved, Wolverine gained a
Hulk-like healing factor and a berserker rage so uncontrollable that
Xavier was forced to guide his actions, Rogue's absorption ability
became so sensitive that her skin could no longer come into contact
with air lest it absorb all life essences within a mile radius,
Jubilee's powers increased to the point where she could level an entire
city with her explosive powers, Jean Grey once more became host to the
Phoenix Force, Colossus could now control his very density, strength
and shape, and Storm was transformed into a sentient weather pattern.
(X-Men Millennial Visions - "By the Maker") - The
X-Men became the last hope for humanity against Magneto's onslaught.
