He kept a mystical Mindless One on a magic leash as a pet and he equipped himself with various mystic artifacts, including the Eye of Agamotto and a "kickin' cloak."

With his partner, Mistress Clea, Dr. Strange made a name for himself as "the baddest freak there ever was."
