History:
(Defenders I#27 (fb) - BTS) - Goozot ruled his world as its emperor. He
enjoyed the power and privileges of his position, including a harem of
at least three attractive, young wives. Goozot's world consisted of
elements reminiscent of medieval Earth combined with high tech robots
who served to maintain order. Among them was Zinnia, a giant robot who
considered smaller robots to be "her babies". Goozot had ties with the
alien Badoon, possibly serving them in an unrevealed capacity. Goozot
would keep his underlings in an enforced state of constant reverie and
debauchery, sobriety was considered a crime.
(Defenders I#27 - BTS) - One of his ways to maintain order was to have
a Festival of Death, along with the TV show called Super Death
Sweepstakes, a beloved show in which contestants had to fight for their
lives against outlandish, deadly menaces picked by panelists. The show
is taped in an arena turned studio and broadcast live across the planet.
Crowds watch the show on giant screens to bet and cheer on the
proceedings.
(Defenders I#27) - Goozot was enjoying time at his palace, sitting on his
throne surrounded by three of his young wives when the giant robot
Zinnia brought in the pacified Hulk and Yondu Udonta. Zinnia demanded
justice because the heroes had broken the law by unknowingly stopping a
murder during the Festival of Death and subsequently destroying her
robotic "babies". Goozot figured the two aliens were sent to them by the
Badoon as gifts. he sentenced them to participate in the Super Death
Sweepstakes. Goozot had Zinnia delivered them to the studios where
the heroes were outfitted in appropriate garb to compete.
(Defenders I#28) - In the dungeons beneath the Super Death Sweepstakes
studios, Goozot and his wives watched robots dress up the Hulk in metal
gladiator armor much to the emperor's delight. Proclaiming he felt they
would make even better contenders than he'd dreamed, he ordered his
wives to accompany him to the arena. One of them stayed behind to
seductively stroke the still incapacitated Hulk, praising his "hard and
strong limbs".
(Defenders I#28 - BTS) - When the Super Death Sweepstakes
began, Goozot watched from the wings as Mon-Tee welcomed all the "ladies
and germs" and promising them "one heckuva show" as the pacificied Hulk
and Yondu were brought on stage and introduced as the Badoon's gifts:
Mister Green and Mister Blue.
(Defenders I#29 - BTS) - While Yondu was sent off to fight off three
robots programmed to impale him, Goozot learned of his wife's improper
conduct. He divorced her on the spot and decided she had to die for her
transgression.
(Defenders I#29) - Goozot interrupted the Super Death Sweepstakes to
drag his now ex-wife on stage. He declared that she was to share the
same death as the man she lusted after: Mr. Green. Following his orders,
Mon-Tee had the scared girl teleported away with the Hulk.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Emperor Goozot should not be confused with:
A young, beautiful woman married to Emperor Goozot as part of his harem. She became fascinated with the Hulk when he was accidentally transported to Goozot's world and taken prisoner by Zinnia. She marveled at the Hulk's impressive, muscular physique since most of the men she knew were out of shape drunkards. When Goozot ordered Hulk and Yondu to participate in the Super Death Sweepstakes, she accompanied her husband to the studios and watched as Hulk was dressed in gladiatorial garb. When Goozot left the dressing room, she stroked his muscles. Goozot learned of her sinful appetites, divorced her on the spot and ordered his former wife to die along with Hulk in the Super Death Sweepstakes. Host Mon-Tee teleported her and Hulk to a frozen wasteland where a small army of giant robotic ants tried to kill them. Hulk protected the woman while defeating the ants. As a result, he and the emperor's ex wife were returned to the studio. --Defenders I#27 (Defenders I#27-29 |
