History:
(Love Romances#6/2 (fb)) - Bonnie English became adept at performing on the trapeze at circus training in Florida. Her boyfriend Pete, a prominent trapeze artist, encouraged her and wanted to include her in the circus' act. The ringmaster, "Boss" Edwards, agreed and she had a small part in the next New Orleans show. Thrilled with the sport, her performance improved and she gained fans. The trapeze act increased in billing and she was used to help promote the circus in the papers due to her beauty, although Pete was slightly disappointed that he was being left out. The circus kept touring and their success led to a blossoming relationship and engagement. In New York, wealthy socialite Clifton Everwood pushed his way into her dressing room with flowers and serenaded her with high society parties. She spent less time with Pete, who confronted her when she had a lingering hangover before going out to perform. A rusty wire snapped as she was swinging on a trapeze, causing her to fall into the safety net. Panicked, she cried out as she fell that Pete was trying to kill her. Everwood visited her in hospital to calm her and she was told she had a tendon injury. But Everwood stopped visiting her; a female friend of his stopped by to tell the distraught Bonnie that he wasn't serious about dating her and that she was just a fleeting novelty with her circus career. Later, released from hospital on crutches, Pete was there to embrace her, assuring her the tendon injury would soon pass.

married and resumed performing together on the trapeze for the same traveling circus.
