History: (Avengers VI#3.1) - Host of a local New York City MMMTV program, Hugh hosted an episode regarding the public backlash against the newest Avengers team roster. On the show, Hugh had special guests city councilman Charles Olivetti and sociologist Bette Canford, who asked Hugh to cut to MMMTV's field reporter Lucy. Lucy informed Hugh that she had been interviewing people on the street to get candid reactions to the Avengers' new roster and when one of the interviewees was hit with a duplicate of the Mad Thinker's Awesome Android, Hugh laughingly remarked that it must be Christmas outside since it seemed to be raining toys. When the Awesome Android began duplicating and endangering Lucy, Hugh pulled himself together and warned viewers to stay in their homes if they were in that area. When he asked if Lucy was still there on the scene, Hugh announced that MMMTV seemed to have lost communication with Lucy before Hugh's show was interrupted by a broadcast from the Mad Thinker himself. Following the Avengers' defeat of the Awesome Androids, Hugh reestablished communication with Lucy and watched from the MMMTV studio as Lucy reported on the Avengers' defeat of the Androids. Hugh then turned to report that perhaps New York City had judged the new Avengers roster too harshly before turning the program back over to Lucy.
