History:

(Free Comic Book Day 2011 (Thor the Mighty Avenger)#1 (fb) - BTS) - King Arthur ruled England from Camelot and survived several assassination attempts. His personal wizard Merlin was secretly imprisoned by Asgardian trickster god Loki, who then pretended to be Merlin after "regenerating."

(Free Comic Book Day 2011 (Thor the Mighty Avenger)#1) - Camelot knight Sir Gawain returned after finding the Holy Grail, and King Arthur and Loki escorted him through the woods to Camelot. The trio came across heroes Thor and Captain America, who had been pulled through time by the desperate Merlin. The two heroes had knocked out several assassins. In gratitude, King Arthur asked the two newcomers to ride with them to Camelot. Keen to get the powerful Holy Grail for himself, Loki cast a magical hydra-dragon that severely injured King Arthur and Sir Gawain. Loki was defeated and vanished, while the real Merlin reappeared and restored King Arthur and Gawain to full health. The wizard then sent Thor and Captain America back to their original times. King Arthur ensured the two heroes' deeds would be remembered in art; the tattered tapestry piece was found centuries later by Jane Foster, but Captain America's flag motif made her think it was a fake artifact.

Comments: Created by Roger Langridge (writer) and Chris Samnee (artist).

Another instance of omniversal Merlin kidnapping heroes from across time to suit his own ends?

Langridge confirmed that the FCBD 2011 issue is part of this universe (to go after issue 8) and it was included in the compendium collecting all of this Thor the Mighty Avenger series.

CLARIFICATIONS :
King Arthur of Earth-10091 has no known connections to:

Gawain

Sir Gawain

Sir Gawain was a knight of Camelot who had spent many years searching for the Holy Grail. Having found it, he returned to England and was welcomed by King Arthur and Loki (masquerading as Merlin). Gawain carried a jewel-encrusted decoy grail to distract would-be thieves from the actual basic goblet. Loki coveted the power of the Grail, but Captain America and Thor's sudden appearance thwarted assassins' attempt on Arthur and Gawain, so Loki unleashed a magical dragon, severely injuring the two Camelot knights. Later, with the true Merlin returned and Loki banished, Merlin restored both Arthur and Gawain to full health.
