History: (West Coast
Avengers II#2 (fb) – BTS) – Grim Reaper formed a
new Lethal Legion consisting of Ultron-12, Black Talon, his girlfriend
Nekra
and Man-Ape, with plans to add Goliath to the roster. Grim Reaper,
grief
stricken over the loss of his brother Simon Williams, put together a
complicated plot to restore his brother to life. Not believing that
Wonder Man
was actually Simon yet also knowing that the Vision had the same brain
patterns as Simon, Reaper grew determined to record the brains of both
men and
delete any information that was contained in both. He would filter them
through
the computers of Ultron-12 then upload them into a corpse (that of
Brady Kent)
that would be reanimated by Black Talon.
(West Coast Avengers II#1) – Grim Reaper sent
Ultron-12 and
Man-Ape to attack the west coast Avengers at their headquarters in
order to
free Goliath and capture Wonder Man. Ultron-12 initially lured the
Avengers
into a trap by sending robots against them. The villains freed Goliath
and
departed with the captives Wonder Man and Hank Pym (who Ultron-12
decided to
capture for personal reasons).
(Vision and the Scarlet Witch II#1) – Black Talon
attacked
Vision and the Scarlet Witch with a pack of zombies. While Scarlet
Witch was
briefly captured, Black Talon raised more zombies to aid in the attack.
Grim
Reaper joined Black Talon and Nekra and was furious that Vision hadn't
been
captured. When the escaped Vision and Scarlet Witch attacked, they
fought
the villains but Grim Reaper ordered the Lethal Legion to retreat when
Vision
threatened the body of Brady Kent.
(West Coast Avengers II#2) – The Lethal Legion
held Hank Pym
and Wonder Man captive and Grim Reaper revealed his complicated plan.
Furious
with Black Talon for his failure, Grim Reaper emphasized that they
needed the
Vision for the plan to work. As Man-Ape and Black Talon began to balk
at Grim
Reaper's leadership due to his racism, Ultron-12 and his robots
attacked the west coast Avengers, Scarlet Witch and Vision.
(Vision and Scarlet Witch II#2) – Ultron
successfully
captured Vision, Scarlet Witch and the west coast Avengers. The Lethal
Legion prepared
to animate Brady Kent but Mockingbird arrived and freed the heroes.
Man-Ape, Black
Talon and his zombie horde abandoned the team, angry with Grim Reaper's
racism. The Avengers and allies battled the Lethal Legion. In the end,
all of
the villains escaped except for Goliath, who was arrested, and Grim
Reaper, who
fell to his death trying to run.
