History:
(World of Fantasy#11/4 (fb) - BTS) - Wally Ober heard
rumors that his explorer great grandfather, Walter Ober, once found a
peaceful hidden region in his travels, but kept its location secret.
(World of Fantasy#11/4) - While washing the windows
of the top floors of a
skyscraper, Wally Ober accidentally fell and plummeted toward the
ground,
crying for help. Many shocked onlookers were helpless to stop the fall,
although one construction worker hoped to catch him. His cries for help
were mystically heard by the high priest Llada, who magically
transported
Wally to his side in Tibet. Back in the USA, the onlookers were left
baffled by the sudden disappearance just before impact, while in Tibet,
Wally heard about his great grandfather and the promise given to him,
ensuring the safety of his family from accidental death. Greatly
surprised, Wally decided to
stay in Tibet like his great grandfather and live with the locals in
peace as a show of gratitude.
Comments: Created by uncredited writer and Alfonso Greene (pencils & inks).
It's not revealed if his accidental fall was the result of personal clumsiness or external negligence.
It may be that the many people responding to Ober's
fall amplified the psychic distress call heard by Llada.
