History:
(X-Men Unlimited II#10/1 - BTS) - After manifesting his mutation, Frank enrolled at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters where he took the codename Pinocchio.

(X-Men Unlimited II#10/1) - Pinocchio was seen in the hallways during Dr. Henry McCoy's first day as replacement guidance counselor, moments before a fight between Lipid and Iolanthe caught the X-Man's attention. Sometime later that day Pinocchio attended English class and was surprised to find McCoy was substituting for their regular professor Emma Frost, who was off on a mission with the X-Men. McCoy asked Pinocchio if he would start off reading his poetry response from the previous lesson. Happy to comply Pinocchio recited part of his poem "She's my Flower". After complimenting the young student on his delivery, his classmate Elsewhere asked to be next.

(House of M#8 - BTS) - When millions of homo superior lost their powers when a reality altering spell cast by the Scarlet Witch reduced the number of gene active mutants to a mere 300 worldwide, Pinocchio was one of the mutants who was depowered.

(New X-Men II#20) - Pinocchio was seen among the students when most students realized that they had lost their powers following M-Day.

Comments: Created by Joe Meno (writer), Paco Medina (pencils, inks).

Pinocchio of course was named after the fictional character and the protagonist of the children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio (1883) by Italian writer Carlo Collodi. Pinocchio was a wooden puppet made by Gepetto the village woodcarver who dreamed of becoming a real boy.

Pinocchio's last name and codename have been revealed in the Xavier Institute entry of the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A-Z HC#13 (2010).

In New X-Men II#20 one of the kids seen in the issue had the same build, same hair and glasses as Pinocchio's. Another one of these students was View. Thank you to Loki for pointing out this additional appearance.
