Diamonds had a notorious reputation as diamond thief.
(Spidey Super Stories#23/4) - Hidden, Queen of
Diamonds watched Spider-Man practice a card trick in the park. Then she
took the
diamond engagement ring from a couple in the middle of a their
proposal. Spider-Man investigated and immediately suspected Queen of
Diamonds. At a nearby store, a wealthy investor paid cash for a large
selection of diamonds, but Queen of Diamonds snuck in and exchanged
boxes, leaving the astounded investor with peanut brittle. Spider-Man
spoke to
the crime victim and decided to lay a trap where he expected her to
next appear - the museum. Spider-Man dressed as a security guard
watching the oversized famous Ritz Diamond. Unable to resist, Queen of
Diamonds used a net to scoop the diamond, but was quickly webbed up by
Spider-Man. The Ritz Diamond returned, another security guard escorted
the thief away.
