History:

(Classic X-Men#7/2 (fb) - BTS) - Paris Seville was chosen by Hellfire Club leader Edward Buckman to join the New York chapter of the prestigious organization. He also elected her into the Inner Circle, naming her the White Queen. As a result, she was also allowed to join the Council of the Chosen.

(New X-Men I#139 (fb) ) - Seville and the other Council members attended the Hellfire Club's open cattle call for exotic dancers. They needed new talent for their various functions. One of the girls auditioning was the ambitious mutant telepath Emma Frost. Even though she was a barely competent dancer, she used her telepathy to mesmerize and wow Seville and the others, assuring her a job at the Club.

(X-Men: Hellfire Club#4 (fb) - BTS ) - Buckman had guided the Council of the Chosen into funding Steven Lang's Project Armageddon. While he claimed it was meant to bring mutants under the control of the Hellfire Club, he confided in Seville his true intentions for backing the Project. Like the mutant hating Lang, Buckman wanted to wipe them all out too.

(X-Men: Hellfire Club#4 (fb)/X-Men I#99 - BTS) - When Project Armageddon was finally launched Seville and Buckman witnessed how Lang's Sentinels fought and kidnapped the X-Men.

(Classic X-Men#7/2) - A few days after Christmas, Seville attended the Hellfire Club's annual gala to celebrate the past year. Like her title indicated, she sat on a throne next to Buckman, overseeing the proceedings. Buckman later introduced her to the newly appointed Black King Sebastian Shaw and his ladyfriend Lourdes Chantel, exchanging some pleasantries before asking Seville to dance.

(Classic X-Men#7/2 - BTS) - While Seville and Buckman waltzed away, Shaw was telepathically contacted by Emma Frost, who was staying at his beach house. Frost had learned the true purpose of the Buckman backed Project Armageddon. Already outraged, Shaw grew even more furious when he sensed Frost was being attacked by a Sentinel. Shaw had his lover Lourdes teleport them to Emma's side. Shaw, with some help from his mutant attorney Harry Leland, who was also at the beach house, was able to defeat the robot but not before it killed Lourdes Chantel. Out for revenge, he returned to the Hellfire Club with Emma Frost and disabled the telepathy inhibiting circuitry installed in the council room. He then had Frost take subtle control of Buckman's mind.

(Classic X-Men#7/2) - Seville attended the midnight meeting of the Council of Chosen where Buckman had planned to tell the others of Project Armageddon's success. Instead, as he was talking about the mutant threat, he grabbed one of the Hellfire guards automatic weapons and casually shot everyone in the room, including Seville who pleaded Ned not to do it. After slaughtering the entire council, Buckman regained his senses long enough for Shaw to explain he was responsible right before snapping his neck. With Buckman, Seville and the others gone, Shaw was free to take control of both the Hellfire Club and the Inner Circle. His first official act: renaming it the Lords Cardinals.

Comments: Created by Chris Claremont (writer), John Bolton (pencils, inks).

Next to nothing is known about Seville prior to Buckman picking her to be White Queen. Considering the prestige of such a position, you'd imagine she was a powerful business woman or at least an influential socialite of some sort. Given her name, she might even be European. Then again, she and Buckman were lovers so it's not unthinkable she came from far humbler beginnings and simply caught Ned's eye (in much the same way Hellfire Club servant Sharon wound up the wife of Senator Robert Kelly). We'll never know, the only time she spoke on panel is when she was getting killed by a mind controlled Ned Buckman. Serves her right for wearing green as the White Queen.

Seville might have been present with the Council of the Chosen behind the scenes in X-Men I#96 and #100, however the Official Marvel Indexes only listed Buckman to be present.
