History: (Spectacular Spider-Man II#31 (fb) ) - After capturing Peter Parker, Carrion took a sample of his blood and injected it into a protoplasmic pre-clone, thus creating the Spider-Amoeba.
(Spectacular Spider-Man II#31) - With Parker electro-shackled to a slab, Carrion released the Spider-Amoeba from its cloning vat. Guided by its spider-sense, the Amoeba slithered towards Parker, sensing that they were somehow connected and wishing to rejoin with him by consuming him. Carrion's assistant Darter, angered that the Spider-Amoeba had been given Spider-Man's powers instead of him, turned on Carrion, but Carrion swiftly killed him with his red dust of death; Darter's pistol fell from his hands and destroyed the shackles' power unit, freeing Parker. Now unencumbered, he battled the Spider-Amoeba, but had difficulty finding purchase in its shapeless mass. He finally flung it off him and leapt to safety, sending the creature in search of the nearest remaining prey specimen: Carrion! Although Carrion tried to become intangible, the Spider-Amoeba negated his abilities and grabbed him with a pseudopod, slowly engulfing him into its mass. His powers nullified by the creature's touch, Carrion scrabbled for leverage on the floor, trying to pull away from the entity so he could teleport away; he found only the bleached skull of Darter. Lamenting that his assistant could have helped him if he was still alive, Carrion shrieked as the creature began to consume him. The White Tiger had accidentally set the lab on fire, however, and soon the flames incinerated all traces of both the Spider-Amoeba and Carrion.
