History: (Daredevil
I#100) – Jann Wenner, editor of Rolling
Stone
magazine, had his office robbed by a group of criminals who painted
their faces
white, including Sandy, but Daredevil stopped the criminals and
retrieved the
stolen files. Jann invited Daredevil inside, where they passed
employees (including
one who was talking to Gracie), then Jann asked to
interview the hero, seeing his popularity among the public as San
Francisco's
only super hero. Wenner asked the hero about his identity, code name
and
origins but Daredevil kept drifting off into thought, giving only
evasive
answers. Just then, reality seemed to warp around them and illusions of
Daredevil's foes seemed to attack them, including Jester, Leap-Frog,
Matador,
Dr. Doom, Tagak the Leopard Lord and Gladiator. The illusion passed and
Wenner
could briefly remember that hallucinations like this had been striking
the city
lately but then his memory began to fade. He even forgot a stirring
speech
Daredevil gave on what it means to be a hero. Soon, Daredevil exposed
the
villain behind the hallucinations as Angar the Screamer.
(Daredevil I#103 (fb) – BTS) – Daredevil went over
the
papers that had almost been stolen from Jann, learning they were forms
about a
local crime boss, detailing his criminal empire which including
racketeering
and heroin. Wenner wanted the papers hidden until he was ready to
publish but
Wenner kept the name of the crime boss confidential.

Jann Wenner is an actual person, the co-founder of Rolling Stone magazine. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jann_Wenner. The article mentions his Daredevil appearance.
The real life (or Earth-1218 if we're talking comic continuum designations) version of Jann Wenner's middle name is Simon so it seems likely that the Earth-616 version of Wenner also has a middle name of Simon. Also, his physical stats (height, weight, eyes and hair) reflect his Earth-616 version. The real life Jann Wenner likely has a different height/weight and I'd be willing to guess that his hair is no longer blonde. - Proto-Man
