History: (Merry X-Men Holiday Special#1/9) -
On December 9, the mutant Alesky and his friend were running from an advanced robot
when the mutant master of magnetism, Magneto, appeared and disabled the
robot. Attempting to recruit the two young mutants, Magneto promised to
teach them how to protect themselves but Alesky and his friend became
surprised to see a nearby menorah completely lit amidst all of the
chaos. Magneto remarked that lighting the menorah was a pointless
gesture but Alesky reminded Magneto of what Hanukkah represented and
how despite the Jews being outnumbered, they still drove away their
enemies. Magneto interrupted, admitting that he knew the stories of
Hanukkah, and told Alesky that perhaps he was right and that it was
important to remember the miracles of the past.

One has to wonder what Alesky's actual mutant powers
were...he never displayed any but Magneto confirmed that Alesky was
indeed a mutant...
