New World#4 (fb) – BTS) – A young new Inhuman, Annie went on into
hiding during a time when Hydra had seized control of the government
and was imprisoning Inhumans in internment camps. Misty Knight began
protecting Annie, seeking to get her to safety. They hid among the
Amish in Indiana for a time.
(Secret Empire: Brave New World#4) – A Hydra agent attacked the Amish farm but Misty Knight defeated him then she loaded Annie into the car (with the defeated Hydra agent in the trunk) to find a new safe zone. After they hit a rock and the car broke down, Misty told Annie to stay down and hide in the backseat as the mechanic Mech pulled over to help them. Proving to be an ally, Mech gave Misty and Annie a ride, leaving the Hydra agent behind. Mech dressed the two girls in punk leather clothing then packed pickles and dirt before helping them evade the police, wrecking the car behind them. They soon arrived at Mojave City, California, where Mech introduced them to Queen Bea, the leader of a post-apocalyptic-themed society, and the pickles and dirt were used as currency there. Annie stayed among the civilians there, quickly making friends.

(Secret Empire: Brave New World#4) – In Indiana, Mech, a nearly naked man wearing a leather apron, a dog collar and goggles, and with some potential tech enhancements, found Misty Knight, Annie and an Inhuman child, broken down on the side of the road. After realizing their car was broken beyond repair, Mech offered to help them, knowing that Hydra agents were hunting down Inhumans. Mech dressed the two girls in punk leather clothing then packed pickles and dirt before helping them evade the police, wrecking the car behind them. They soon arrived at Mojave City, California, where Mech introduced them to Queen Bea, the leader of a post-apocalyptic-themed society, and the pickles and dirt were used as currency there. Annie stayed among the civilians there, quickly making friends. Mech then helped Misty over the following days settle other Inhuman kids into off-the-grid communities.

(Secret Empire: Brave New World#4 (fb) – BTS) – Betsy Jamison, owner of Shear Elegance Hair Salon, styled herself as Queen Bea. Queen Bea became the leader of a post-apocalyptic-themed society in Mojave City, California, where she was also known by the names, including Queen Bea of the Desert Sea or Gramma Beebs. The society attracted artists and travelers, some who lived there year round.
(Secret Empire: Brave New World#4) – Queen Bea saw Mech and Misty Knight bring the young Inhuman girl, Annie, there for refuge.
