History: (Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#5 - Inhumans entry (fb) - BTS) - Azur grew up in Attilan with her younger sister Ambur and her parents, Kobar and La.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#6 - Karnak entry (fb) - BTS) - Azur married Mander, a priest and philosopher who worked in the Tower of Wisdom and they had sons Triton and Karnak.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Fantastic Four 2005 - Inhumans entry - BTS) - After exposing their own sons Blackagar and Maximus to the Terrigen Mists in utero, Agon and Rynda (sister of Mander) convinced their siblings and spouses in the Royal Family to also experiment on their own children, resulting in a generation of royal offspring with fantastic abilities.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#6 - Karnak entry (fb) - BTS/Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#11 - Triton entry (fb) - BTS) - After their marriage, Azur and Mander exposed their first son Triton to the Terrigen Mists.
(Inhumans: Once & Future Kings I#3 (fb)) - Azur and Mander stood with Karnak as their son Triton was ready to be exposed to the Terrigen Mists. Karnak believed the mists were archaic but his parents assured him it was the way of their people. They were horrified to see Triton changed into a fish man with gills, unable to breathe oxygen.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#11 – Triton entry (fb) – BTS) - Azur became an ocean biologist in order to care for her son, who was raised in a specially designed alcove off the island of Attilan.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#6 - Karnak entry (fb) - BTS) - Mander and Azur decided not to expose Karnak to the mists, not wanting a repeat of what happened to Triton.
(Karnak I#2 (fb) - BTS) – Changing his mind, Mander argued with Azur about her refusal to let Karnak enter the Terrigen and she used Triton's need to remain in water as an example. Mander stated that Karnak would serve with him in the Tower of Wisdom when he grew then said Karnak would matter more to society than Azur ever did.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#6 - Karnak entry (fb) - BTS) - Azur saw that Karnak was enrolled in his father's religious seminary in the Tower of Wisdom, training in physical and mental disciplines until he was 18.
(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#6 - Karnak entry (fb) - BTS/Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#11 - Triton entry (fb) - BTS) - Later, Inhuman scientists designed an apparatus that would allow Triton to breathe water while walking on land. Azur died in an undersea mishap when Triton was 14.

The Karnak series explored a bit more about the Tower of Wisdom itself and their work to help Inhumans adapt to their powers through study and indoctrination, helping all embrace the idea that they were nothing. It is possible that Mander is still alive. The circumstances around Azur's death remain mysterious.
