Powers/Abilities: Boomerang has the ability to
throw small objects with great accuracy, and displays athlete-level
fitness and stamina. His costume has seven large boomerangs attached,
but he relies on boomerang-shaped spinning energy projectiles as attack
devices; these do not seem to return (or perhaps it's just the way he
throws them). These appear to be generated from his gloves.
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 175 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Brown
History:
(Hulk and Power Pack#1 (fb) - BTS) - After committing
a felony, Boomerang escaped from prison and teamed up with Whirlwind
and Klaw, but encountered three members of the child super-team Power
Pack, Energizer, Light Speed and Zero-G, on a rooftop. The fourth
member, Mass Master, was 10 blocks away engrossed in an electronic
handheld game, "Hulk: Gamma Rampage".
(Hulk and Power Pack#1) - While Whirlwind and Klaw had been knocked out, Boomerang managed to keep the children at bay using his energy boomerangs. A stray boomerang hit Mass Master's gaming device, knocking out many hours of gaming progress. This angered the boy and he immediately used his powered to land on Boomerang's chest, knocking him out.
(Hulk and Power Pack#1 (fb) - BTS) - The villains
were put behind bars once more.
Comments:
Earth-616 Boomerang originally created by Stan Lee (writer), Jack Kirby
(layouts), Bill Everett (pencils & inks). Earth-5631 version
adapted by Marc
Sumerak (writer), David Williams (pencils), Gary Martin (inks).
His physical stats are taken from his Earth-616 counterpart due to their distinct likenesses.
Both Klaw and Whirlwind (but not Boomerang) appear in
the Hulk handheld game played by Jack Power, so they clearly have a
reputation as Hulk villains on Earth-5631.
Profile by Grendel Prime.
