(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#2 (fb) ) - Years later the Shadow King located the cloning project. Now inhabiting the body of a young man, he was part of a group of hard-rock lovers called the Shadow Kings who found Nova's lifeless body. Instantly recognizing the body was modeled after his long-time archnemesis Xavier Shadow King inhabited Nova's body, thus awakening her.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#3 (fb) - BTS) - Their combined power was so great that upon rebirth Nova/Shadow King was flooded by the psychic feedback of nearly every soul on Battleworld. Fearing that their domain was too fragile Shadow King set out to ensure their survival by changing the X-Men and other dangerous mutants into proper role models as to not attract the wrath of Doom.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#1 - BTS) - Meanwhile conflict between human and mutantkind reached a tipping point when Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants declared war on humanity. Thanks to the X-Men's heroic actions the world finally learned not all mutants were a threat, realizing peaceful coexistence between homo sapien and homo superior was possible. This coalition was more than Magneto could handle until finally, total chaos erupted in Westchester causing the conflict to be called the Westchester Wars, a five-year long conflict.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#3 (fb) - BTS) - Nova had become a politician and after the Westchester Wars had ended she and Baron Kelly established the Bureau of Super-Power. Given full authority to do whatever was necessary to ensure a peaceful human/mutant cohabitation Nova established the Clear Mountain Institute, a rehab facility designed to help "evil" mutants re-enter society.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#2 (fb) - BTS) - Director of the Clear Mountain Institute, Nova created a four phase program to rehabilitate mutants. Phase 1, mentoring: role models would be partnered with "evil" mutants to create the necessary skills. Phase 2, non-violent interaction: reprobate mutants would be partnered together to accept loss. Phase 3, integration: patients would apply what they learn with other people instead of lashing out. Phase 4, the Mind Field: a telepathic process to identify a mutant's antisocial urges and "quiet" them.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#1 - BTS) - Nova welcomed many mutants from around the world to rehabilitate them.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#3 (fb) - BTS) - However, some mutants like Feral and Sauron whose physical mutation made them undesirable in the eyes of the Shadow Kong were confined and hidden away in the catacombs of Clear Mountain, dubbed the Rej-X.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#4 (fb) - BTS) - Nova planned to remove Robert Kelly as Baron. To do so she ordered the Rej-X to strip down old Sentinels for parts to create a towering machine called the X-Sentinel to kill Kelly. Nova hoped that with Kelly out of the way Doom would notice her good work and name her Baroness of Westchester.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#1) - Nova welcomed the X-Men for a grand tour of the Clear Mountain Facility. Professor X had sent his team to investigate if the facility was harming mutants.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#2) - Nova showed the mutant heroes Clear Mountain was a safe refuge for wayward mutants in need of removing their extreme tendencies. During the tour she led the X-Men through the four phases of the Institute. The tour was interrupted when The X-Men came face to face with the rehabilitated Sabretooth, the X-Men were shocked by the groundbreaking changes. Nova resumed her tour as Nova revealed the fourth and final phase the Mind Field. Intrigued by its working the X-Men volunteered to undergo the final phase, Nova/Shadow King was pleased with the opportunity to create the perfect role-models for his plan to become Baroness of Westchester.

   Unbeknownst to the X-Men, Shadow King had sensed Professor X snooping around on the Astral Plane and had attacked him while still using Nova's appearance. However when the Shadow King had bested Xavier he revealed Nova's true origin showing him Apocalypse's cloning project after which he scrambled Xavier's brain, seemingly killing him.

   Back at the Clear Mountain Institute the X-Men were placed in special containment chairs after which Nova commanded to start the Xavier Protocols. Fearing they'd fallen into a trap the X-Men panicked but were unable to escape while they entered the Mind Field. Humored, Nova told Cyclops it wasn't a trap but therapy.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#3) - With the X-Men trapped Nova began her assessment of each individual X-Man. Starting with Wolverine she used many of Wolverine's past identities to convince him to forego of violence. Nova, however, wasn't so successful with Storm even after revealing her true motives, she therefore rejected Storm.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#4) - Nova continued her assessment with Rogue and Gambit of whom she disapproved their sexual tension. Nova successfully gained control of them after which she assessed the X-Man Beast. Although Nova was convinced Beast was a marvelous example of what she tried to achieve he was still just a "beast" and determined to hide him with the Rej-X.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#5) - Nova telepathically approached the most powerful of the X-Men, Jean Grey. Nova, however, was unaware of Grey's psychic link to Cyclops and planned to lure her into a trap. Seemingly defeating Nova with an optic blast, the couple was in for a surprise when Nova trapped them in a mind battle where she posed as Uatu the Watcher, the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, Mister Sinister, Stryfe and even Apocalypse and his Dark Riders. In all her might Nova managed to let Grey transform into the White Phoenix calling her the shining example of mutant rehabilitation hoping to use her to reach every mutant in Battleworld. However, just than X-Force's Psylocke appeared in the Mind Field, snapping Nova's neck. Believing they had won, Cyclops, Grey and Psylocke were shocked when Nova appeared to be alive, broken neck and all. Psylocke then drove her psychic dagger through Nova's mind, ending her assessment of Cyclops and Jean Grey.

   Nova awoke in the real world surprised she'd been bested but decided to use the X-Men she'd approved forming the New X-Men consisting of Wolverine, Gambit and Rogue. At the same time the Clear Mountain Institute was attacked by X-Force.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#6) - Just as the Clear Mountain Institute was under fire by the X-Men Jubilee and Beast, X-Force and the recently freed Rej-X, Nova and her New X-Men appeared. Refusing to fight X-Force, Nova revealed that she had sent her X-Sentinel to kill Baron Kelly in the name of X-Force, certain she would become Westchester's next Baroness. Nova then turned her attention to the Rej-X, urging them to attack and defeat X-Force for the chance of becoming one of Doom's Thors. Intrigued by the opportunity the Rej-X attacked X-Force. The battle was halted by the return of X-Men Storm, Cyclops and Jean Grey who'd escaped Nova's Mind Field. In an effort to save Baron Kelly from the X-Sentinel Storm rallied X-Force, Rej-X, Nova's rehabilitated New X-Men and other mutants from Clear Mountain to help them.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#7) - The X-Mem and the other mutants arrived near the X-Museum to stop the X-Sentinel. During the battle Storm ordered X-Force to ensure Baron Kelly's safety. But when they led him to the X-Men's Blackbird, Nova attacked. Countered by Jean Grey, Nova/Shadow King unleashed a giant psychic dragon to counter the Phoenix Force. Weakened by Jean Grey, Charles Xavier joined the fight against Nova/Shadow King and successfully separated Shadow King from Nova.

(X-Men '92 Infinite Comic#8) - "Freed" from Shadow King's influence Nova fled. Not long after the combined powers of Xavier, Jean Grey, Cable and Psylocke defeated Shadow King.

(X-Men '92 II#8) - Cassandra Nova sought out Joseph, the clone of Magneto.

(X-Men '92 II#8 (fb) - BTS) - Wishing peaceful coexistence for all living things Nova and Joseph joined forces to put a stop to "evil" mutants. The duo learned that the Upstarts (Fabian Cortez, Fenris, Fitzroy, Shinobi Shaw) and their leader Gamesmaster (in reality Apocalypse's Horseman Mystique) had targeted the X-Men and set out to stop them. Nova and Joseph successfully captured Fabian Cortez and Fenris.

(X-Men '92 II#8) - Nova and Joseph located Shinobi Shaw and Fitzroy in the South Chinese Sea near Thailand where the mutants were hiding on Shaw's yacht. Confronting the Upstarts, Joseph explained they wanted Gamesmaster's whereabouts, however, before the Upstarts could answer Apocalypse and his Horsemen Mystique, Exodus and Bastion appeared. Shocked to see the one who'd created her, Nova noted the world believed him best. Apocalypse explained that while he'd survived despite the X-Men's best effort the world would soon die. Apocalypse continued, the banished Celestial, Xodus the Forgotten, was about to return to their dimension. Xodus planned to destroy Earth fearing mutantkind would one day ascend and replace the Celestials.

(X-Men '92 II#9 (fb) - BTS) - Nova and Joseph learned Apocalypse had known about Xodus for a long time and had been training the X-Men all these years in the hopes of defeating the Celestial. However, when the X-Men had used the Darkhold to permanently remove the vampire-curse on Earth, it had weakened edges of space allowing Xodus to return. Nova and Joseph decided to aid Apocalypse, his Horsemen, the Upstarts and Apocalypse's right hand man President Kelly to help the X-Men.

(X-Men '92 II#9) - President Kelly summoned Apocalypse and his "disciples" at the abandoned Lilapalooza music festival where the X-Men and X-Factor had gathered just as Xodus appeared. Shocked to see their rogues gallery the X-Men and X-Factor instantly attacked them only to be stopped when Xavier read Apocalypse's mind. However, just as Xavier and Apocalypse wanted to work together Cable and his X-Force appeared and shot Apocalypse in the chest, seemingly killing him.

(X-Men '92 II#10) - Nova and the others watched as President Kelly and Xavier ordered the X-Men and X-Factor to stop X-Force and rescue Apocalypse. After things had calmed down Apocalypse revealed his plan to activate the latent x-gene in all humans to create a world full of mutants to stop Xodus. Apocalypse had originally planned to use S.W.O.R.D.'s alien technology to construct a device to do so but with the Peak down it was X-Men student Dead Girl who suggested they use the Darkhold to do so. Apocalypse and Xavier agreed after which Xavier telepathically reached out to all of humankind asking for their help. When millions of humans replied Xavier's message to have their latent x-gene activated and join the fight against Xodus, Dead Girl with Xavier's help used the Darkhold to do so, although Xavier gave his life in the process. Nova then joined millions of mutants in the fight against Xodus.

This coalition was more than Magneto could handle and as his anger grew so did his Brotherhood, until finally, total chaos erupted in Westchester.

On Earth-616 Cassandra Nova is in fact a "mummudrai," a parasitic life form born bodiless on the astral plane. The mummudrai that became Cassandra became telepathically entangled with the future Charles Xavier, who possesses vast mutant telepathic powers. This granted Cassandra some psionic powers herself, including the ability to exit the womb and create a body.

When, in 2015's Secret Wars, the Multiverse was destroyed following the incursions of planets it appeared as if Reality-92131 was drafted onto Battleworld as the Westchester domain. All Earth-92131 profiles on the Marvel Appendix reflected that information, however, this has since been debunked with the news that the original X-Men: The Animated Series will receive a brand new season to pick up where the original series ended. As such the reality seen in two volumes of X-Men '92 (2015-2017) now have their own reality-designation. The X-Men '92: House of XCII 2022 series was inspired by both the animated series and Hickman's House of X run but is its own separate reality. Nearly thirty years after X-Men: The Animated Series first debuted the new season will appear on Disney+ in fall 2023.
