History: (Spider-Man Magazine (I#12)) - The
villainous Devilspawn was enemies with Mite and Lith Kasti.
Comments: Created by Brian Knott.
Devilspawn was a product of the 1994 Spider-Man
Magazine's "Create Your Own Super Hero or Super-Villain" section that
ran in most earlier issues of Spider-Man Magazine. In Devilspawn's
case, he was created by then-11-year-old Brian Knott of Bradford,
Tennessee. As a fringe character, Devilspawn was not confirmed to exist
on Earth-616 but there is equally no evidence to say he did not exist
on Earth-616 either...
Devilspawn's height & weight were impossible to
approximate, as he was never seen next to any character whose height
& weight were officially determined.
Devilspawn's origin was never shown but given his
name and bizarre appearance, my bet would be on him being some sort of
demon...
Devilspawn creator Brian Knott didn't recall much
about Devilspawn's creation and/or backstory but did have this to say
about his creation 25 years later:
"My inspiration was obviously Goro
from Mortal Kombat. I know I submitted that. That's about all I can
tell ya, lol. I liked to doodle and draw but obviously wasn't good at
it."
Profile by Proto-Man.
