History:
(Daredevil III#26/2) - Children with cancer (under the treatment of Dr. Fine) made up a story about the Disintegrosaurus, a dinosaur escapee from an experimental lab whose powers developed from a super-cancer that got spliced to his DNA. The monster battled the Avengers, including Wolverine (in ninja armor), Spider-Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, Human Torch, Thing, and Invisible Woman. Iron Man used an anti-cancer ray to revert the creature back to normal size. Giant-Man delivered the news that more Disintegrosauri were attacking a school, and Daredevil helped punch back a green one.

Disintegrosaurus is metefictional in that he was seen as part of a story within the Marvel Multiverse's Reality-616; however, this fictional story is also part of a separate reality, hence the designation.

(Amazing Spider-Man I#544 (fb) - BTS) - Years ago, Dr. Fine's uncle was saved from an accident by Spider-Man. Dr. Fine promised to help Spidey if he ever could.

(Amazing Spider-Man I#544) - When "May Morgan" (Aunt May) was brought in for cancer treatment with no identification or insurance, Dr. Fine explained to her nephew "Peter Morgan" (secretly Peter Parker) and his wife (secretly Mary Jane Watson) that the hospital needed resources. Peter rushed out to get help and Fine recognized him as Spider-Man from the local papers. Fine promised Peter he would do whatever he could.

   Later, Edwin Jarvis informed Fine that two million dollars had been transferred for May's care, but Fine had to tell Peter that his aunt was almost assuredly going to die.

(Daredevil III#26/2) - Dr. Fine treated Foggy Nelson for cancer. He convinced Foggy to read to the sick kids in the ward, though Foggy was initially nervous. After reading the kids' story about fighting a cancer-dinosaur, the Disintegrosaurus, Foggy stood with Fine while Iron Man visited the kids.
