History: (A+X I#1 (fb) - BTS) - Through means and
reasons unrevealed, Red Hulk became the President of the United States
and deemed it necessary to kill a younger version of himself to save the
world. To reach this goal, he tasked Maestro and Wolverine to go back in
time and kill him.
(A+X I#1) - Arriving in the past of Earth-616, the pair of
Red Hulk agents fought their younger Earth-616 versions and were soon
sent back to their time on Earth-28245. Red Hulk met the pair in the
Oval Office and the two agents requested to go back in time again but
Red Hulk denied this request, as their window of opportunity had closed
and they would have to wait for another opportunity.
Comments: Created by Jeph Loeb, Dale Keown and
Danny Miki.
Red Hulk's physical stats are approximated from that of his Earth-616 counterpart.
The story concludes with an ominous "The
End... for now..." statement, but as of writing this has yet to be
resolved. This may be because Ross has died subsequently, and is
dead as of this profile being published - how long that lasts is
another matter. - Loki
Additionally, at the time the story was
published, Thunderbolt Ross was the only living Red Hulk, so both the
28245 version and his target in this story are assumed to be him.
However, since then another Red Hulk has been introduced, Robert
Maverick, and he looks virtually identical to the original, so it is
conceivable that he's actually one or both of the Red Hulks herein -
in other words, future Maverick might be trying to kill his younger
self, or future Maverick might be trying to kill his predecessor Ross,
or a resurrected future Ross might be trying to kill Maverick. - Loki
