History: (Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends (UK)#578) -The dreamboat of Arachnid University, George the Spider was considered the Big Spider on Campus, a hit with all the female spiders. However, one fateful day, George noticed the humans were holding a science exhibit near his web. Despite thinking this sounded like Dullsville, he figured it might be good for some laughs and wandered in. As the experiment began, no one noticed a bored and inattentive George descending towards the equipment, and suddenly without warning, he was caught in the energies transferring between two modules. Accidentally absorbing a fantastic amount of radioactivity, in his shock, George bit the nearest living thing, human student Peter Parker. The young man's blood coursing through George's body triggered an amazing change, giving him the proportionate weakness of a shy college student. His popularity plummeted as he became a bookworm, denigrated by his peers as Arachnid U's only professional wallflower.
Comments: Created by Lew Stringer.
George can't be from Earth-616, as we
know what happened to the spider in that reality.
