History: (Squirrel Girl Beats
Up the Marvel Universe GN) – Squirrel Girl was invited by Iron Man to
his penthouse at Stark Tower, where he had reassembled a machine
created by the High Evolutionary. With her friends Nancy Whitehead,
Tippy-Toe, Chipmunk Hunk and Koi Boi, Squirrel Girl soon battled the
High Evolutionary’s men, as well as the New-Men (including Clarence the
whale, Sally the ostrich, Claude the electric eel and Commander Huggy
Q. Loveyface the Sixth the polar bear) when they arrived to reacquire
the Evolutionary's machine. Squirrel Girl was knocked into
the machine, however, and a perfect duplicate of her was created then
the two
Squirrel Girls teamed up to defeat the New Men. After ensuring that
Iron Man wouldn't use the machine again, the two Squirrel Girls chose
to team up to fight crime and the duplicate took on the name Allene
Green (Doreen's middle name) and began wearing Squirrel Girl's older
costume. Doreen and Allene teamed up with Spider-Man to defeat the
Vulture. Allene went to college with Doreen, Nancy, Tippy, Tomas and
Ken, and proposed that they take a more active role in stopping crime
by having the squirrels, chipmunks and fish all watch out for crimes,
allowing them to be more proactive in their crime-fighting. Allene
recommended a comprehensive plan where squirrels could tackle
humanitarian aid, environmental protection, public health and even
waste disposal. The others agreed to give it a try but on their way
home, they discovered that Chompsky the squirrel had been hit by a car.
Allene argued that squirrel life should be as important as human life
then she spent a few days on her own. Allene began staying in a
warehouse, where she put together her Squirrel Avengers Initiative, or
plan to prioritize squirrel lives over those of humans. Allene
infiltrated Stark's company and had squirrels animate and steal his
Iron Man armor, and she tied up Tony Stark and placed him behind EMP
shielding so that he couldn't call for help then stole his
duplication machine.
Two days later, when Doreen, Nancy and
Tippy
found her, Allene announced her plan to save the squirrels and they
saw how she was using the duplication machine to make dozens of copies
of squirrels who would be loyal to her. Allene was hurt when Nancy,
Doreen and Tippy didn't take her side. Feeling she had no choice,
Allene attacked Doreen and their battle soon led to Stark's home,
where they freed him. Allene booby-trapped the floor of her
warehouse headquarters then she posed as Doreen and went with the
Avengers Iron
Man (Tony Stark), Ant-Man, Black Widow, Captain America (Sam Wilson),
Quicksilver, Hawkeye (Clint Barton) and Thor (Jane Foster) to find
Allene
but they were easily defeated by triggered electricity; Allene finished
Iron Man off by using the weapons of the Avengers against him. Allene
gathered her squirrels, including Scuttlebutt, and told them to prepare
their mission of revenge. Using a duplicate of SG’s phone, Allene lured
Doreen and her allies hundreds of miles away, where Nutasha Romanutt
the squirrel led them into a diversion. Allene had her squirrels knock
out all power across the country then she banished the Avengers to the
Negative Zone using Thor's hammer as a power device. Allene addressed
her squirrels, including Pancake, about her plans to defeat heroes one
at a time and to use their equipment against each other as she
banished them to the Negative Zone. She took down
Spider-Man, Black Cat, Mysterion, Hobgoblin, Lady Octopus (using
Scuttlebutt), Thing, Magneto, the time-displaced Cyclops and Marvel
Girl, Purple
Man, Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes), Hellcat and Black
Panther, M.O.D.O.K. and Storm, Wolverine (Laura Kinney), Spider-Man
(Miles Morales), Gwenpool, Deadpool, Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew),
Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), Colossus, Beast, Daredevil, Juggernaut,
Star-Lord (Peter Quill) and Shocker (Herman Schultz) while Johnny
Fishlips and Howard the Duck stayed out of the fight. When a
S.H.I.E.L.D. team, including Phil Coulson, Nick Fury Jr. and Maria
Hill, attacked and dropped Hulk on her, she used squirrel L'il
Miss Cuppycakes as a diversion and defeated him. Squirrel Girl, Koi
Boi, Chipmunk Hunk, Tippy-Toe and Nancy Whitehead then prepared to
face Allene, who had weapons from all of the various heroes and
villains. Allene easily defeated them as she banished S.H.I.E.L.D. to
the Negative Zone then the heroes shed their costumes and fled. Allene
expanded her attacks across the planet, knocking out power and stealing
weapons.
Days later, Doreen and her allies joined with Venom ("Flash" Thompson), Hippo, Rocket Raccoon and Kraven the Hunter but Allene still nearly defeated them until Allene grew weary of the fight and threatened to send Tippy to the moon with a teleporter, killing her, but Doreen grabbed it first and was sent to the moon. Allene considered Doreen's loss as collateral damage but Tippy used an Iron Man glove and a teleporter to save Doreen, who got Thor's hammer, powered up as Thor and freed the heroes from the Negative Zone. Heroes including Medusa, Vision, Morbius the Living Vampire, Hercules and the time-displaced Beast battled Allene, defeating her. After the fight was finished, Doreen realized Tippy had broken her back during the rescue and she liberated the heroes to heal and stabilize her. Allene was kept contained for a time and separated from her squirrels but she proposed a compromise that she be allowed to take her squirrels and build a new life in the Negative Zone. In the end, they chose to let Allene go.
(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#21 – BTS) – Doreen and Nancy visited Allene in the Negative Zone. They returned home with some negative ice cream (which must be kept warm and is healthy) with greetings from Allene to Tomas, Ken and Brian Drain.
(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#43 (fb) – BTS) – Allene spent several months getting accustomed to life in the Negative Zone, cultivating a planet for her squirrels then moving on to other planets. She established gardens, libraries and squirrel-run consulates across the planets. Allene also realized she could look into other dimensions and in one, she saw a hairstyle she really liked. When required, she battled Negative Zone threats.
(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#43) – Allene greeted the visiting Squirrel Girl, Chipmunk Hunk, Mary Mahajan, Koi Boi, Brain Drain and Tippy-Toe. Just as Allene was bragging about all she'd accomplished, Doreen was suddenly forcibly teleported back to Earth.
Comments: Created by Ryan North, Erica Henderson and Tom Fowler.
Allene Green's debut into the Marvel Universe was truly epic and I love where she ended up. Presumably she has all of Squirrel Girl's memories up until she was duplicated and presumably she has diverged a lot from Squirrel Girl now given their different life experiences.Profile by Chadman.
