History:
(Cowboy Action#10/5 (fb) - BTS) - Nat Grey was
sheriff of a small frontier town and was mutually in love with local girl Mary Sue.
(Cowboy Action#10/5) - Nat Grey stepped in when he saw rival Jeb Hawkins pushing Mary Sue around, demanding she choose him over the sheriff for marriage. Knocked down, Hawkins drew a gun, but his gun was shot away by Grey, who ordered him to leave.
Many months passed and the town was
peaceful, but Hawkins had trained hard to become a faster gunslinger
than Grey and eventually challenged the sheriff to a duel. Grey put
down his badge to meet Hawkins on equal footing. Hawkins was just a
half-second faster on the draw, but his gun jammed and Grey's bullet
hit him. Grey speculated that Hawkins' faith alone in his gun was
misplaced.

Could it be that Nat Grey used telekinesis to jam
Jeb's gun? ;)

CLARIFICATIONS
:
Nat Grey has no known connections to:
Jeb Hawkins was a belligerent citizen of the town
where Nat Grey was sheriff. He pushed to marry Grey's lady love,
getting violent when she continued to refuse. Grey knocked him down and
Hawkins plotted revenge. Hawkins practiced drawing his handgun for many
months until he was lightning fast, hoping to become a
gunslinger-for-hire once he had dispatched Grey. He challenged Grey to
a duel, but his gun jammed and Grey's bullet hit him. It's unlikely he
survived.
