History:

(Quick Trigger Western#16/6 (fb) - BTS) - Chief Growling Bear established a reputation of deeply held honor and fearsome wrath if crossed.

(Quick Trigger Western#16/6) - Growling Bear signed a peace accord with US military, ending conflict in the region. The gunrunner Yancey looked on unimpressed with his two henchmen, Bud and Hank. Nightfall came, and Yancey and his men dressed as Native Americans and attacked white settlers, shooting wildly and burning houses. Word reached the US military fort and forces set out the next day. Chief Growling Bear stopped his council going to a war footing, instead moving his tribe into the hills, while he stripped himself of his regalia to prove the word of the Native American was to be trusted. He stealthily bypassed the fort forces and followed the tracks, reaching the town at night and found the three marauders. His shadow and face spooked Hank and Bud, who ran away; he then leapt on the overconfident Yancey. Having apprehended the two accomplices, who confessed, the US military arrested Yancey. Growling Bear and the military fort leader later reinforced their commitment to peace.

Yancey

Yancey and his two henchmen, Hank and Bud, were gunrunners who sold weapons to Native Americans and sought to foment strife between them and encroaching white settlers to continue their gun sales. The peace accord signed by Growling Bear threatened to end Yancey's illicit gunrunning trade, so Yancey and his men dressed as Native Americans and attacked local white settlers at night to sow discord, almost inciting full war. But Chief Growling Bear uncovered the truth and he pinned Yancey down until local US military came to arrest the gunrunner.
