History: (Daredevil I#266 (fb) – BTS) –
Hector grew up respecting his
parents for their hard work and family ethic. He resented his brother,
Hugo,
who took family less seriously.
(Daredevil I#266) – Hector ordered a beer and
arm-wrestled
with his brother Hugo, commenting that their mother would be waiting
for them
to arrive for dinner. Mephisto entered the bar in the form of a woman
and
influenced the man in the bar while Hector admitted to Hugo that he
resented him, his freedom, his defiance of their parents and his
carousing with women. Hector
demanded that Hugo show respect and return home to their parents but
Hugo
refused so Hector broke a bottle on the table and used the glass jagged
edge
to stab Hugo, killing him. Hector came to his senses and immediately
fell to
his knees crying, unaware of the other patrons in the bar, including Jack
the bartender, the heroic Daredevil and Maggie’s
ex-husband, or the Pop Tarts band playing on the
jukebox.
