Base of Operations: New Attilan;
formerly Chicago, Illinois
First Appearance: (As Dante) Inhuman#1 (June, 2014); (as Inferno) Inhuman#3 (August, 2014)
Powers/Abilities: After undergoing Terrigenesis, Inferno developed the ability to manipulate fire, which he generates from his own body, often erupting from his hands and sometimes covering his entire form. Able to fly from the flames, Inferno is not harmed by fire, but does tend to develop thick charred marks at times after his powers have been used a lot, though he is able to heal from these wounds over time. Inferno can melt metal, and set flame to rock, and they seem to respond to his emotions, increasing during times of anger and waning during times of doubt. Inferno is also a talented drummer.
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 161 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Black
History:
(Inhuman#1 (fb) - BTS) - Dante Pertuz grew up outside of Chicago with his mother and sister, Gabriela, who eventually married John. Dante began drumming in various bands, sometimes getting paid for his work, and he worked hard even after tragedy struck his family. Dante's mother became ill around the time John died, and Gabriela learned she was pregnant.
(Inhuman#1) - In Chicago, Dante checked on his mother then talked to Gabriela, who thanked her brother for his hard work in playing drums for bands at weddings. Just then, they heard their mother cry out, rushed upstairs to check on her, and found her in a cocoon. Dante breathed in the mists and was also transformed. Lash appeared in the room just as Mrs. Pertuz died, unable to survive the Inhuman change. Lash pinned Gabriela as Dante hatched, immediately able to channel fire. Dante attacked Lash, who deemed him "worthy" and invited him to come to Orollan with him to be trained. Medusa appeared in the room, aiding Dante against Lash, who soon teleported away, then she helped Dante and Gabriela escape the burning room. Medusa invited them to come to Attilan with her.
(Inferno#2) - In New Attilan, Dante, with Gabriela, stopped Vinatos from dissecting the remains of Mrs. Pertuz. Queen Medusa entered with Gorgon and ordered a proper burial for Mrs. Pertuz. Dante, struggling to put his fire out, asked Gorgon for help, so Gorgon knocked him out. Dante woke up in a vat that helped suppress his powers, and Gorgon helped him realize that his powers were permanent.
(Inferno#3) - Given a red and black skin-tight costume, Dante continued training with Gorgon, learning better control over his flames. Gorgon invited him to choose a new name for himself, and Gabby suggested the name Inferno, which Dante loved. Medusa entered and offered Inferno a chance to join in on getting revenge on Lash, and he agreed, though he and Gabby wanted the chance to go and bury their mother. Medusa promised to make sure Gabby's medical bills were taken care of during her pregnancy. Inferno joined Medusa, Lineage, Gorgon, Triton, and others in travelling to Orollan, the headquarters of Lash, and they faced off with members of the Tribe, including Mother Bones, Grove, Kacy, and Korvostax. Ignoring orders, Inferno tried to kill Lash in a fiery ball, but Lash easily redirected the energy, then Kacy blew out Inferno's flames. As Medusa ended the battle, Inferno, realizing he'd nearly killed someone, befriended Korvostax, whose name was Jason, and he returned to Attilan with them.
(Inhuman#4) - In New Attilan, Inferno was star-struck when Medusa introduced him to Thor. When human civilians opened fire on them, Inferno changed to his fire form, but he saw Elejea get hit with a bullet. Inferno was sent to summon Vinatos to heal Elejea. Inferno checked in with Jason during his training with Gorgon, then Lineage entered the room with beers, offering to teach Jason the truth about his family.
(Inhuman#5) - Inferno took Jason to a club he used to play at in New York City, owned by Yuri, and Jason opened up about his past. Inferno told Jason to choose a new name for himself, then they met the bizarre new Inhuman Naja, who'd followed them there. Inferno chose to leave the club when Yuri proved to be racist. They promised to take Naja into Attilan, but when they arrived, they found that Medusa had been dethroned by the Unspoken.
(Inhuman#6) - After watching New Attilan from afar and gathering intel, Naja flew Jason and Inferno over to the opposite shore. After Inferno used his powers to bypass the guards, then they rushed to Gabriela's side. Vinatos clued them in on some of New Attilan's history. Vinatos took Inferno and Jason with him in a plot to overthrow the Unspoken, then he himself slew two of the guards, with Naja following to kill the third. When the Unspoken killed Vinatos, Inferno lashed out with a burst of fire, weakening the king, and allowing Naja to knock him out. Inferno collapsed, partially turned into molten rock. Medusa was soon freed.
(Inhuman#8 (fb) - BTS) - Inferno spent time healing, but soon Gorgon asked him to go on another mission.
(Inhuman#8) - His skin still badly burned, Inferno checked on Gabriela, who was with Naja, before going with Gorgon and Frank McGee to pass through Eldrac the door. After they passed through, they found themselves in the Himalayas, where Maximus seemed to be about to force Black Bolt to jump off a cliff. When Inferno was too frightened to use his powers, McGee gave off a flash of light, blinding Maximus. Maximus forced Black Bolt to speak a few times, sending detonations through the mountains around them, and Gorgon and Inferno hunkered down to protect themselves. McGee avoided the blasts, then shot Maximus. Black Bolt, free from mental control, used sound to vaporize Maximus' hands, then Maximus fell into the frozen valley below. Black Bolt grabbed the Inhuman Codex, then flew away.
(Inhuman#9) - Elejea welcomed Sterilon, Lineage, Frank McGee, Triton, Ms. Marvel, Inferno, Gabriela Pertuz, Gorgon, Naja, and others to the funeral for Vinatos. Medusa shockingly entered, her personality having been inverted by a spell, and she cruelly flung Vinatos' coffin out into the river.
(Inhuman#10) - Inferno, still healing, allowed Gorgon to use his cell phone.
(Inhuman#12) - Inferno (realizing that he only healed when not using his powers for a few days at a time), Frank McGee, Naja, and Flint defended New Attilan against the military forces of Ennilux. Black Bolt arrived and easily defeated the forces, impressing the others. Inferno went with Elejea and Naja to meet the newly arrived Iso.
(Inhuman#13 (fb) - BTS) - As Gorgon trained Inferno, Dante would play music he liked, and he learned Gorgon's interests. He invited Gorgon to perform at an upcoming gig.
(Inhuman#13) - Inferno played the drums for a gathering of Inhumans, including Naja, Iso, Flint, Gabriela, and Gorgon in a local bar. Gorgon sang and Inferno lost himself in the music until he started to set himself on fire. Flint and Iso helped get Inferno outside, then Gorgon tossed him out into the river to put him out.
(Inhuman#14) - Inferno grew frustrated with his burnt skin and lack of control of his powers, then Gabriela went into labor, so Inferno, with Iso and Naja, began frantically looking for Gorgon.
(Inhuman Annual#1) - Inferno, Naja, and Flint were at the hospital waiting for Gabriela to give birth when Lockjaw arrived suddenly, teleporting them to Jersey City to help Ms. Marvel, there fighting humans that were being mutated by Lineage from afar. In battle, Inferno had his arm severed, but he found himself able to conjure another one from flame. Soon, Lineage was defeated in New Attilan. Inferno rushed back to see that Gabriela had had a baby girl.
(Amazing Spider-Man Special#1) - When Bird-Men attacked New Attilan, Iso, Grid, Inferno, and Naja stood against them, but Triton had to save them when they were overwhelmed. Spider-Man arrived to help, with Medusa and Gorgon, and they all soon passed through Eldrac to Sky-Island. After a brief battle with Red Raven, Gorgon, Triton, and Medusa were captured, and Red Raven sent the others plummeting through the sky toward the city below.
(Inhuman Special#1) - Spider-Man used webbing to break the fall of the four Inhumans, and they climbed back up the rocky island (with Naja lifting Iso, Inferno melting rocky handholds, and Flint clinging to the rock with his powers). They battled mutated Bird-Men, then Captain America (Sam Wilson) joined them.
(All-New Captain America Special#1) - Captain America and Spider-Man battled Red Raven and the Bird-Men alongside the Inhumans, soon defeating them. When Sky-Island went crashing toward the city below, Flint used his powers to slow the rock, and Iso manipulated air currents to get it to land in the river, saving thousands of lives.
(Secret Wars III#1) - Inferno helped other heroes save civilians during the final incursion.
(Uncanny Inhumans#1) - Medusa led Iso, Flint, Grid, and Inferno in battling Chitauri warriors in Central Park, then she gave an interview to the media.
(Uncanny Inhumans#2) - During a battle with Kang the Conqueror, the Human Torch sought to save Inferno and Grid, but they were briefly erased from the timestream (to be reformed later).
(Uncanny Inhumans#6) - Inferno was invited by Frank McGee to accompany him to the Quiet Room, where he met Marishi Spin (of Ennilux), who had had the power-blocking Antigen stolen from under his nose.
(Uncanny Inhumans#7) - McGee took Reader (with Forey), Treste, and Inferno to the room where the Antigen was stolen, and he used his powers to find a clue: a scrap of fox fur. Forey tracked the fur to the Capo, revealed to be alive and possessing humans. Reader tried to put Treste to sleep to protect her, but Capo hit Reader, McGee, and Inferno with the Antigen, blocking their powers. McGee shot Capo, then Treste pushed Reader out of the way of Capo's claws, getting wounded in the process. Capo possessed a pizza man until McGee threatened his life, then Capo abandoned the man, possessed Forey, and rushed away. McGee secured the Antigen and returned to the Quiet Room, where he gave the device to Black Bolt.
(Civil War II#1) - Inferno joined a group of Inhumans, including Crystal, and Beast, in reaching out to new Inhuman Ulysses, who could predict the future. Inferno then joined many heroes in repelling the Celestial Destructor, before celebrating with the heroes later.
(Civil War II: Kingpin#1/2) - Inferno joined Vision and Captain Marvel in disrupting a meeting of criminals, including Black Cat, Kangaroo, Fancy Dan, Janus Jardeesh, and Man Mountain Marko. During the fight, a replica of Captain America's shield hit Inferno's head.
(Civil War II: X-Men#2) - Inferno stood with the guards in New Attilan.
(Uncanny Inhumans Annual#1) - The Inhumans (including Naja, Inferno, Grid, and Crystal) helped contain the threat of Kludge in India. Grid took Naja and Inferno into Mumbai, and they met Grid's family, including Anoop, Adhira, and Devi. Naja and Inferno went shopping with Devi and promised to help her cook after. Later, Grid and his parents were kidnapped by Banyan, and Grid managed to send out a distress signal to Naja and Inferno. They burst in and Inferno set Banyan on fire, seemingly destroying him by accident when the fire raged out of control.
(Captain America: Steve Rogers#5) - Inferno stood with the Inhumans.
(Uncanny Inhumans#13) - In New Attilan, many Inhumans gathered, expecting an attack from Iron Man; forces in waiting included Inferno, Grid, Flint, Naja, Ms. Marvel, Iso, Reader (with Forey), Black Bolt, and Karnak.
(Uncanny Inhumans#14) - Iron Man's drones took over New Attilan and captured Black Bolt. Iso gathered Reader, Flint, Grid, Naja, Inferno, and others as Karnak challenged her to take control of defending Attilan. Iso led Grid and Inferno to the throne room, joining Karnak and Triton in fighting to free Black Bolt.
(Death of X#4) - Inferno accompanied Black Bolt, Medusa, McGee, Triton, and Lockjaw to Spain, where a conflict with the X-Men over the Terrigen Cloud (which was poisonous to mutants) was getting worse. When Magik attacked Black Bolt with the Soulsword, Inferno blasted her with fire, but she teleported away.
(IVX#1) - Medusa prepared a new generation of Inhumans for Terrigenesis, including young Valto, and Iso, Inferno, and Irelle were assigned to pilot them up into the Terrigen Cloud, but they became aware that the X-Men had declared war. Inferno and Iso were sent to secure the gates.
(All-New X-Men II#17) - Inferno blasted teen Iceman with fire.
(All-New X-Men II#18) - Inferno blasted Cyclops before the adult Iceman knocked him back.
(Mosaic#7) - Inferno attacked Sabretooth.
(IVX#2) - Medusa ordered Iso and Inferno to escape and go find the missing Black Bolt, Karnak, and Crystal. She instructed them that if New Attilan fell, they were to gather resources and win back the city. Inferno and Iso managed to get an airship out of the city while the Human Torch held off Sabretooth. Teen Angel and Wolverine (Laura Kinney) attacked, destroying the small airship, but Inferno and Iso managed to land near Eldrac, the Inhuman door, who'd been stuck on the harbor for a time. Eldrac opened up and sent Iso and Inferno to a new location, where they found Old Man Logan waiting.
(IVX#3) - Inferno battled Old Man Logan, allowing himself to be stabbed before he erupted in a fiery explosion, defeating the mutant. Meanwhile, Iso defeated Forge and destroyed a machine being designed to destroy Terrigen. They escaped on Forge's airship, taking the unconscious mutant with them, then Iso called Ms. Marvel, asking her to gather unaffiliated Inhumans to form a team. She gathered Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Reader and Forey, Synapse, Quake, Grid, and Mosaic.
(IVX#4) - Iso kept Forge unconscious, and they soon saw Mosaic return from a mission, having possessed teen Cyclops and stolen the X-Men's ship, with intel about the dispersal of the Terrigen Cloud.
(IVX#5) - Iso, Inferno, Grid, Ms. Marvel, Quake, Moon Girl, and Mosaic, with teen Cyclops and Forge, examined the plans for the Terrigen Eater, and Moon Girl improved on the design. Iso made plans to ask for help from Ennilux to make the modified machine, feeling she had no choice. Grid, Mosaic, Ms. Marvel, Quake, and Inferno joined Cyclops in heading to Iceland, where the Terrigen Cloud would hit next, and they were attacked by the X-Men.
(Extraordinary X-Men#19) - Inferno stood with the Inhumans against the X-Men in Iceland.
(IVX#6) - The Inhumans gathered in Iceland to face off with the X-Men. Emma Frost seized mental control over some of the Inhumans, forcing them to fight their allies. As the Inhumans began realizing Emma Frost had been manipulating events, Iso, Moon Girl (with Devil Dinosaur), and Forge arrived from Ennilux with a device that would destroy the Terrigen Cloud, as they realized that not doing so would result in the death of all mutants on Earth. Medusa destroyed the Cloud, and Emma Frost was exposed as being behind events. She launched a group of Inhuman-hunting Sentinels and they opened fire on the Ennilux ships, killing many. (Old Man Logan saved Inferno from being hit). Medusa was ready to defeat Frost, but Havok turned on her and teleported away with Frost. Medusa delivered the news of the Terrigen Cloud's destruction to her people, then she abdicated the throne, giving it over to Iso. Iso planned to hold elections.
(Monsters Unleashed II#1) - Inferno joined Medusa, Karnak, Triton, Crystal, and the Human Torch in battling a multi-headed monster near New Attilan.
(Uncanny Inhumans#1.MU) - Inferno helped Crystal, Medusa, Triton, Captain Swain, Karnak, and the Human Torch take down giant green and red monsters. When Swain and Crystal briefly went missing during the fight, Inferno helped find and save them.
(Monsters Unleashed II#4) - Inferno stood guard over Kid Kaiju and his parents, Minouru and Deanna Kawade, alongside Iso, Ren Kimura, Wolverine (Laura Kinney), Karnak, and Spider-Man (Miles Morales). They fought monsters when they attacked.
(Inhumans Prime#1) - Inferno joined many Inhumans in taking down the Unspoken and Maximus the Mad. He was later present when Medusa announced a mission she was taking into space, leaving Iso in charge of New Attilan.
(Uncanny Inhumans#20/2) - Inferno joined other Inhumans in celebrating Medusa at the Quiet Room.
(Secret Warriors II#9 (fb) - BTS) - Gabriela named her daughter Ariela.
(Secret Warriors II#2 (fb) ) - Outside New Attilan, Inferno, Naja, Grid, and Frank McGee saw Hydra, led by Mr. Hyde, invade the city and take many captive, including Iso. They stayed in hiding in the city for a few days, and they ended up battling Hydra when soldiers identified them. Inferno's powers were overloaded and he got separated from the others.
(Secret Warriors II#3 (fb) ) - Inferno was captured and placed in a transport truck with other Inhumans.
(Secret Warriors II#1) - Inferno was rescued from a Hydra transport truck by Quake, Ms. Marvel, Moon Girl, and Devil Dinosaur. He joined them in liberating the nearby prison camp. They freed Karnak, who joined the group.
(Secret Warriors II#2) - Inferno drove a car for the group, with Devil Dinosaur running behind them, and they intervened when they saw Hydra harming a woman, but she turned out to be Vampire by Night. The Howling Commandos attacked. During the fight, Inferno hit Man-Thing with flames. After over-extending himself Inferno laid down while his powers recovered and woke as they drove west, pulling a trailer with Devil Dinosaur balancing on the top of it. They soon arrived in New Tian, where a group of X-Men (Strong Guy, Beast, Boom-Boom, Rictor, Magik, Archangel) met them.
(Secret Warriors II#3) - A brief fight with the X-Men broke out, but ended quickly, though Quake still made their plane crash. They soon found a lab where Dark Beast was experimenting on subjects, and Quake and Karnak tortured Dark Beast for information, to which Ms. Marvel protested. More X-Men showed up, including Blink, Gambit, Warpath, Forge, Shatterstar, Sunfire, and Dazzler, and the Inhumans were ordered to leave, discovering Leer had been taken by Hydra. Mister Hyde led a group of Hydra agents, as well as the evil Avengers (Vision, Taskmaster, Scarlet Witch/Chthon, Deadpool) to confront the Inhumans.
(Secret Warriors II#4) - A brief battle broke out, and Inferno discovered Vision was fireproof before Moon Girl convinced her team to surrender. They were taken aboard a Helicarrier, where Moon Girl soon freed them. Moon Girl called Archangel and Sunfire to help them get out, but then she was seemingly lost in the crash of the Helicarrier.
(Secret Warriors II#5) - After searching, the Inhumans found Devil Dinosaur alive. After driving a semi-truck east, they prepared to sneak into New Attilan, and Leer activated his powers, enhancing the powers of others, giving Inferno greater control over flame. They found the prisoners in New Attilan already freed and attacked Hydra, with Karnak calling their team "the Warriors." Giant-Man (Raz Malhotra), Hawkeye (Clint Barton), Captain America (Sam Wilson), Wonder Man, Iron Man (Tony Stark A.I.), Mockingbird, Thing, Hercules, and Misty Knight soon arrived to help them save the city. When Mister Hyde captured Quake, the Warriors and their allies pursued, with Karnak directing Inferno in how to force the ship to land with a hot thermal wave. After Mister Hyde was defeated, the Warriors disbanded, not trusting Karnak. Inferno took Leer to stay with someone who could help him.
(Secret Warriors II#6 (fb) - BTS) - Knowing that Gabriela was working full-time, taking night classes, and raising her baby as a single mother, Dante agreed to babysit. He asked Moon Girl to write one of Gabriela's book reports.
(Secret Warriors II#6) - After chatting with Moon Girl, Dante was attacked by the Dark Beast and some of his mutates. They knocked Inferno aside, kidnapped the baby, and told Dante that this was because Karnak hadn't paid his debts.
(Secret Warriors II#7) - Inferno went to Moon Girl's home to ask for help, then she called Ms. Marvel to join them. Inferno felt awkward when they met in a children's park, as he was the only adult, so they made plans in an ice cream store instead. They sought to track Quake, ending up back at Moon Girl's home to confer with Karnak. Inferno saw that Moon Girl played with a dollhouse, and she convinced him that the oven inside it was a fusion reactor. They found Quake battling Bullseye and helped end the fight.
(Secret Warriors II#8) - The Warriors went back to Gabriela's home, where they strategized. Magik teleported in and Inferno initially attacked her before learning she was there to help. Magik teleported the team to Dark Beast's old lab, where they found leads to Alethea Industries in Florida, and teleported there, causing Inferno to vomit. After finding connections to Essex Scientific, they teleported again and battled more mutates in the building. They found dozens of children in containment units inside.
(Secret Warriors II#9) - The team realized the children were all latent Inhumans, and began taking them back to their parents one at a time. Dark Beast attacked, restraining Inferno and torturing him briefly before battling the Warriors with more mutates. Mr. Sinister entered, holding Ariela, and he assured them that the baby was unharmed. Before leaving with the baby, he told the Warriors to contact Karnak. Moon Girl reached out to Karnak, who denied working with Mr. Sinister when Inferno yelled at him. They returned the last Inhuman child to Des Moines, but then he detonated while news cameras recorded events.
(Secret Warriors II#10) - Magik teleported the Warriors to New Attilan in the nick of time. Inferno grew impatient with waiting, and he tried talking to Grid and Naja, but they were angry with him for having been abandoned to Hydra weeks before. Magik teleported Inferno (who vomited) and they confronted Ahura while looking for Karnak. Ahura sparred with Inferno, soon knocking him out. When Inferno and Magik returned to New Attilan, Inferno walked away in anger after he felt like Iso was blaming him for problems. Inferno and Quake slept together, but Ms. Marvel knocked on the door and caught them before rushing away in disappointment. Quake informed Inferno that Ms. Marvel had a crush on him, then she called him "broken", and he left Quake behind in anger.
(Secret Warriors II#11 (fb) - BTS) - Inferno turned himself in to Mr. Sinister and Dark Beast and promised to let them experiment on him if he returned Ariela unharmed to Gabriela.
(Secret Warriors II#11) - Inferno held Ariela as Mr. Sinister and Dark Beast reassured him she was okay, but then the Warriors teleported in. Sinister distracted the Warriors and escaped with Inferno, leaving Ariela behind. Mr. Sinister took Inferno back to the Tower of Wisdom, where he experimented on Inferno. The Warriors and the Inhumans attacked, with Karnak and Moon Girl defeating Sinister and freeing Inferno. Karnak tried convincing everyone that Moon Girl should be the new leader of the Inhumans, but she refused his offer, leaving Iso in charge. Inferno confronted Karnak for his crimes. As events wrapped up, Iso banished Inferno from New Attilan for his own crimes.
(Secret Warriors II#12 (fb) - BTS) - Gabriela was furious with Dante for putting Ariela in danger.
(Secret Warriors II#12) - Moon Girl invited Inferno over to her home for a birthday party, but he found out it was a ruse to play board games when he arrived. Inferno found Ms. Marvel, Quake, Magik, and Karnak there, and Inferno initially yelled at Karnak before putting their differences aside. Quake tried apologizing to inferno, but he walked away, saying he was weary of her using people. He then tried talking to Ms. Marvel, who denied having a crush on him. In the board game, Inferno did his best to eliminate Karnak to prove a point. Quake kissed Inferno goodbye, asking him to come find her in six months after she'd had time to work on her issues. Inferno hugged Moon Girl goodbye.
(Marvel Rising: Squirrel Girl/Ms. Marvel#1/2) - Dante was walking home from campus when he saw Ms. Marvel fighting a giant digitized chicken, and he powered up as Inferno to help her with the fight. After Ms. Marvel defeated the chicken, by throwing it into water, Tippy-Toe and other squirrels jumped on Inferno, thinking he was a villain, but Squirrel Girl called them off. Emulator summoned a digitized dragon, and Inferno embarrassed himself by trying to burn through the creature, accidentally crashing into a lamp post. Inferno identified the dragon as being from the game Skyscrolls, and he knew its weakness was electricity, then Ms. America soon joined them in defeating the dragon. Soon, Emulator summoned digitized zombies to attack.
(Marvel Rising: Ms. Marvel/Squirrel Girl#1/1) - Squirrel Girl, Tippy-Toe, Ms. Marvel, Ms. America, and Inferno battled the summoned zombies, soon realizing that Emulator was drawing power from the local power station. They soon realized that Emulator's powers were rewriting reality as a video game, resulting in Squirrel Girl going into "infected mode" once she was bit by a zombie, and Ms. America getting "banned from the server" (disappearing from the area) for trying to teleport zombies away. After Squirrel Girl found an antidote, the heroes overloaded the power station, dissipating the zombies, and returning Ms. America. The heroes confronted Emulator, but she tossed them into a video game reality.
(Marvel Rising: Ms. Marvel/Squirrel Girl#1/2) - The heroes soon realized they were in an MMORPG game, and had to squish cyborg rats to level their own characters up. Squirrel Girl, Ms. Marvel and Tippy-Toe leveled up while Ms. America and Inferno watched, baffled. The team worked together to realize they needed to break game rules to try and get banned from the reality, so they attacked Scorpiozard, a scorpion wizard, who they determined was a crucial non-playable character, but the strategy was ineffective, so they tried overloading the game's counters by collecting bones from skeleton warriors, and they spent weeks doing so, though time moved much faster in the altered reality. After finally returning to Earth, they found Arcade holding Emulator in a machine that allowed him to use her powers, and he soon sent the heroes to face demonic chickens.
(Marvel Rising Omega#1) - Inferno, Squirrel Girl, Tippy-Toe, Ms. America, and Ms. Marvel fled from the amped up giant chickens, then they faced a series of threats (man-eating plants, giant snakes, savage rhinoceri, a giant robot, and giant ants) before an avatar of Arcade revealed itself, then the heroes figured out how to interface with the game, they interacted with baby dragons, then battled an enormous dragon before passing through a massive death trap. Finally, they faced Arcade (with his head on top of a giant gorilla). Realizing Emulator was trying to help them, the heroes helped her overload the machine, and Arcade went missing. Three weeks later, they gathered to check on Emulator, who was now safe in New Attilan.
(Marvel Rising II#1) - Squirrel Girl and Tippy-Toe met Spider-Man (Miles Morales), Ms. Marvel, and Inferno on campus and gave them a tour, showing special pride in the Computer Science department. When they saw cars jousting outside, the heroes confronted the drivers, Beaven and Tyson, who were manipulating magic, as the heroes saved civilians.
(Marvel Rising II#2) - Inferno and his friends stopped the jousting cars as Quake joined them, and they identified that the drivers had stolen a magic artifact called the Eye of Igraine and used it to summon Morgan le Fey. Inferno argued with Quake that she needed friends, and he reminded her that the old times weren't all bad. As they prepared to return to New Attilan to fight Morgan, Inferno struggled with self-doubt, worried he was going to screw up again. The heroes were overwhelmed by flying rats and mystic knights, so Squirrel Girl called Ms. America to aid them. Inferno was bit by a rat and his eyes turned green with magic energy.
(Marvel Rising II#3) - Inferno, possessed by Morgan le Fey, battled the heroes, trying to win them over to her side. He soon escaped on the back of a gryphon. At Morgan's side in New Attilan, Inferno bowed before her while she held off the other Inhumans, including Mosaic, Iso, and Frank McGee. The heroes, with Emulator, attacked, and Morgan summoned a giant green monster to help her.
(Marvel Rising II#4) - Emulator, Ms. Marvel, Squirrel Girl, Tippy-Toe, Ms. America, Iso, Spider-Man, and Quake fought the giant monster, who they named Treshie after discovering it was made of magically animated trash, while Inferno sought to stop the heroes. After Quake broke Inferno's mind control, Morgan attacked anew.
(Marvel Rising II#5) - Tippy-Toe, Emulator, Iso, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, Quake and the others saw Inferno take a stand against Morgan le Fey. Squirrel Girl and Ms. Marvel won Treshie over to her side, then they separated Morgan from her amulet, the Eye of Igraine, and freed Beavan and Tyson from her mind control, though Mothball helped Morgan escape on the back of a gryphon.

(Secret Warriors II#12 (fb) - BTS) - After getting Ariela back, Gabriela was furious with Dante for putting Ariela in danger. --Inhuman Annual I#1 (Inhuman Annual#1, [Secret Warriors II#9 (fb)], [6 (fb)], [8 (fb)], [11 (fb)], 11, [12 (fb)] |
Gabriela Pertuz (Inhuman#1 (fb) - BTS) - Gabriela Pertuz grew up in Chicago with her mother, Mrs. Pertuz, and her brother, Dante, who became a drummer. In time, Gabriela married John and became pregnant, but John died after Gabriela became pregnant. Mrs. Pertuz also became ill. (Inhuman#1) - After checking on Mrs. Pertuz with Dante, Gabriela thanked him for being such a great brother. Just then, the Terrigen Mists passed through the house, and Mrs. Pertuz entered an Inhuman cocoon just before Dante did. Lash appeared in the room, pinning Gabriela, who begged for her life and for that of her child. Mrs. Pertuz died, unable to survive the transformation. Dante emerged with fire powers and briefly battled Lash, then Medusa arrived. Lash disappeared, then Medusa helped Dante and Gabriela get out of the burning house. She invited Dante and Gabriela to Attilan. (Inferno#2) - In New Attilan, Dante, with Gabriela, stopped Vinatos from dissecting the remains of Mrs. Pertuz. Queen Medusa entered with Gorgon and ordered a proper burial for Mrs. Pertuz. When Dante struggled to control his flame, Gorgon knocked him unconscious, telling Gabriela he would help Dante learn to control his powers. Medusa told Gabriela more about the history of the Inhumans. (Inhuman#6 (fb) - BTS) - Vinatos was checking on Gabriela Pertuz when New Attilan was taken over by the Unspoken. (Inhuman#6) - Inferno, Naja, and Jason returned to New Attilan and rushed to Gabby's side, where Vinatos explained some of the history of New Attilan to the group. They rushed to Gabriela's side to check on her, and Vinatos explained some of Attilan's history to them. (Inhuman#8) - Naja checked on Gabriela and the baby, then Inferno, who'd been badly burned in a recent fight, put his costume on to go help Gorgon with a mission. (Inhuman#13) - Inferno played the drums for a gathering of Inhumans, including Naja, Iso, Flint, Gabriela, and Gorgon in a local bar. Gabriela enjoyed the music and looked forward to the birth of her baby, hoping her entire Colombian family would show up. Gabriela screamed as they got Inferno to safety and put out the flames. (Inhuman Annual#1) - Gabriela had a baby girl in New Attilan. (Secret Warriors II#9 (fb) - BTS) - Gabriela named the baby Ariela. (Secret Warriors II#6 (fb) - BTS) - Gabriela began working full-time and taking night classes, all while raising her baby. She agreed to let Dante babysit for her. (Secret Warriors II#8 (fb) - BTS) - Gabriela learned that the baby had been kidnapped by the Dark Beast. (Secret Warriors II#8) - Dante took his team, the Warriors, including Quake, Moon Girl, and Ms. Marvel, back to Gabriela, and they saw Magik appear. Magik teleported the team away to search for the baby. (Secret Warriors II#12 (fb) - BTS) - After getting Ariela back, Gabriela was furious with Dante for putting Ariela in danger. --Inhuman#1 ([Inhuman#1 (fb)], 1-3, [6 (fb)], 6, 8-9, 13, Annual#1, [Secret Warriors II#9 (fb)], [6 (fb)], [8 (fb)], 8, [12 (fb)] |

Yuri (Inhuman#5 (fb) - BTS) - Yuri owned a famous club in New York City, where Dante Pertuz sometimes played drums. The club hosted some of the greatest rock bands of all time. (Inhuman#5) - Yuri saw Dante bring his friend Jason in for a drink. When Yuri saw the Inhman Naja, he asked Dante if he was having problems.
