History: (Unbeatable Squirrel
Girl II#42) - On Earth-19542 circa 2050 A.D., where much of New York
City was in ruins, a woman became Iron Monger and sought to recruit an
army to take over the rest of the world. Her arch-nemesis Squirrel Girl
wondered if Iron Monger 2000 wanted 2000 people for her army and that
was why she
named herself that, as the year 2000 had passed decades before. Flanked
by squirrels including Tippy-Toe, who was a cyborg with her brain
preserved in a jar, Squirrel Girl fought back against Iron Monger but
Kang the Conqueror showed up wanting revenge on Squirrel Girl for a
fight they would potentially have in the future.
Kang easily sent Iron Monger flying away with an electric zap and as
she flew through the sky, Iron Monger shouted about how she had iron
left to monger.
(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#42 (fb) - BTS) - Squirrel Girl went back in time and altered the timeline, diverging Earth-21197 from Earth-19542. When the now-diverged Earth-21197's Iron Monger 2000 attacked Squirrel Girl, Kang still repelled her away but New York City was not a wasteland on Earth-21197, with Nancy Whitehead alive, Tippy-Toe a normal squirrel and the Avengers operating.

This cute little story technically contains two futures, one that overwrote the other. In the first one (Earth-19542), Nancy died, Tippy-Toe became a cyborg and New York was devastated. Avengers Tower, where Squirrel Girl, Nancy Whitehead and Tippy-Toe
lived.

(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#42 (fb) - BTS) - In a future of Earth-19542, decades from now, when much of New York City was in ruins, Squirrel Girl lost her best friend Nancy Whitehead when she died and Tippy-Toe became a cyborg with her brain exposed (like their old friend Brain Drain).
(Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#42) - Squirrel Girl and her army of squirrels, who were led by Tippy-Toe, stood against Iron Monger 2000's plans to gather an army. The time-traveling Kang the Conqueror showed up, wanting revenge for a perceived future fight with her, and he sent Iron Monger 2000 soaring away while revealing he'd booby-trapped Squirrel Girl's belt. After he caught Tippy and the squirrels in an electric net, Kang tried to snap his fingers and destroy the building but he realized that Squirrel Girl in the past of Earth-616 (prior to the divergence of Earth-19542) must have stopped him so he went back to defeat her then. (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#42 - BTS) - Squirrel Girl took time to assemble a time gauntlet that would allow her to travel back in time. She picked up her Earth-616 twenty-year old self along the way. (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#42) - The two adult Squirrel Girls arrived in the past of Earth-616, where they helped their ten-year old self and Monkey Joe defeat Kang the Conqueror. (Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II#42) - When the timeline of Earth-19542 was altered, diverging Earth-21197, Earth-21197's Squirrel Girl woke up. She remembered battling Iron Monger 2000 and Kang the night before, recalling the events of Earth-19542 as if they were a dream, but now found Tippy back to normal and Nancy alive again, unlike their Earth-19542 counterparts. Doreen and Nancy went out to the kitchen for breakfast as the Avengers went into action outside.
