Voices: Indigenous Voices#1/3 (fb) – BTS) – Julian, a young Native
American in Yavapai County, Arizona, discovered his mutant abilities to
create temporary monsters out of darkness from another dimension,
opening portals to channel the beasts.
(Marvel Voices: Indigenous Voices#1/3) – Julian's
grandmother, Mrs. DeLeon, won five hundred dollars at a pumpkin contest
at the county fair. As Julian and his brother Lucas were helping her
load up the pumpkin, a man stole her purse, and Julian used his powers
to stop the man, who turned out to be the son of Sheriff Tenenbaum.
Learning the boy had been hurt, Julian went into hiding in the desert,
where he stayed in a hidden mine shaft. His reservation reached out to
Mirage and Wolfsbane to find him.
Two days later, Mirage and Wolfsbane tracked Julian after finding one of his wolf creatures in the desert, and they invited him to Krakoa, but Julian felt like he already had a home. Sheriff Tenenbaum and his men then arrived, determined to arrest Julian, and a fight broke out, but Wolfsbane and Mirage defeated the police. Days later, Storm and Nightcrawler of the X-Men arrived to form an official treaty with the reservation, where Julian stayed.

Julian's grandmother's last name was DeLeon, it was not confirmed that
Julian had the same last name. It's possible she was his maternal
