History: (X-Babies I#3) - "L'il Gambit" was created by Mojoverse usurper Veech out of protoplasmic material slashed from his Adorable X-Babies by the real X-Babies' Wolverine. Prepared to send "L'il Gambit," who was seen charging some educational flash cards, and his other new Adorable X-Babies against the true X-Babies, Veech commented on how adorable his new Adorable X-Babies were.
(X-Babies I#4) - Veech sent "L'il Gambit" and the other Adorable X-Babies to attack the true X-Babies and their allies. During the battle, "L'il Gambit" was punched by the X-Babies' Wolverine and eventually, the X-Babies' Rogue absorbed the powers of Veech's ally Spiral, which she used to open a teleportational portal. "L'il Gambit" quickly grabbed on to the body of the X-Babies' Colossus in an attempt to keep from being pulled into the portal but Colossus managed to grab "L'il Gambit" and hurl him into the portal with the other Adorable X-Babies.
(Exiles III#8 (fb)) - Arriving on Earth-32518, "L'il Gambit" and the other Adorable X-Babies founded Xavier's Playtime Fun School for Gifted Youngsters, where they lived and spent time together at picnics and story time. During one such outing, "L'il Gambit" playfully stole "L'il Rogue"'s bandana and ran off with it, waving it in the air as "L'il Rogue" flew after him.
(Exiles III#8 - BTS) - When "L'il Gambit"'s former teammate Wolvie
was forced to give mental testimony of his life leading up to joining
the reality-hopping Exiles, a memory of "L'il Gambit" running around
with "L'il Rogue"'s bandana was shown.
Comments: Created by Gregg Schigiel and Jacob Chabot.
During his three appearances, the Adorable X-Babies'
counterpart to Gambit was never identified by name. Since L'il Magneto
was identified by name, I'm choosing to refer to Gambit as "L'il
Gambit" in this profile. If he is ever identified in-story, I will
update the profile to reflect this.
Profile by Proto-Man.
