History: (Fantastic
Four I#240 (fb) – BTS) – The Enclave, working
with Maximus the Mad, attacked Attilan with an atmospheric plague and
the
Inhumans grew more and more sick over time, leaving Marak to tend to
them.
(Fantastic Four I#239) – With Lockjaw watching
over him,
Marak watched over Crystal, who was pregnant with Quicksilver's child,
causing
Marak to be concerned about the Inhuman/mutant gene combination and
what it
might mean for the child. In addition, Marak saw that Crystal had come
down
with the atmospheric plague. Marak encouraged Quicksilver to leave
Attilan for
help.
(Fantastic Four I#240 (fb) – BTS) – As dozens of
Inhumans
died, Marak continued his work and Black Bolt found a way to sustain
the life
force of all Inhumans for a time.
(Fantastic Four I#240) – Quicksilver returned to
Attilan
with the Fantastic Four using Lockjaw and arrived just as Black Bolt
collapsed from the strain of sustain the Inhumans' life force. After
consulting with Marak, Mr. Fantastic developed
a temporary antidote to the plague and Marak mandated it be used on the
most
vulnerable and on the Royal Family. The Fantastic Four then helped
prepare
Attilan to move to the Blue Area on the surface of the moon, where
there was
rich oxygen. Marak successfully delivered Crystal's baby on the moon
and
Crystal and Quicksilver named the child Luna.
