(Daredevil I#286 (fb) - BTS) - Marcus grew up interacting with lots of white kids in the street, including Frankie.
(Daredevil I#285) - An amnesiac Matt Murdock, using the name Jack, brought the judge back home badly beaten, the judge having been beat up in the streets by Marcus' peers, including Frankie. Marcus wanted to go get revenge, but the judge forbade him from using any violence. Marcus confided in Jack that he believed in his father but felt he was too old fashioned. Overwhelmed, he accepted Jack's offer to walk the judge to work in the morning.
(Daredevil I#286) - Marcus left the judge at home to be walked to work by Jack. On the subway, Marcus saw white men and women uncomfortable around him just because he was black. Marcus decided to go home to check and make sure his father was okay, but when he got there, he found Jack cradling his father's corpse, the judge having been shot in the head by the same men who'd attacked him. In shock, Marcus vowed revenge and he went to find Frankie and the others, including Nick and Vinnie. Marcus attacked the entire room full of men, but they quickly overpowered him and promised to teach him a lesson. After Marcus was beaten, Jack showed up and held back the men, using violence to save Marcus. Then Marcus marched Frankie outside, determined to get revenge, and he told Jack to back off and let him make his own decisions.
(Daredevil I#287 (fb) - BTS) - Marcus took Frankie back to his apartment and tied him up, repeatedly questioning him. Frankie refused to tell him who really killed the judge.
(Daredevil I#287) - Marcus kept questioning Frankie. Later, Jack Murdock brought the real killer, Nick, to justice.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Marcus has no known connections to:
(Daredevil I#285 (fb) - BTS) - A judge in New York City worked hard to raise his son Marcus on principles of justice and non-violence. He worked hard to give each case in his court a fair chance and keep them out of jail when possible. When the war on drugs began, the judge became overwhelmed by the number of cases crossing his bench. When Nelson Mandela came to town, the judge went to a benefit dinner. (Daredevil I#285) - While walking home from court for a nap, the judge was attacked by Frankie and his friends, white men committing a hate crime, who wanted him to be tougher on people of color, and kinder to whites. They badly beat the judge, who was left unconscious on the street. An amnesiac Daredevil, using the name Jack Murdock, found the judge and offered to take him to the hospital, but the judge just wanted to go home. When Marcus wanted to go get revenge on the thugs, the judge forbade it. (Daredevil I#286 (fb) - BTS) - The judge returned to night court and sentenced a white criminal. (Daredevil I#286) - Frankie and his friend Nick broke into the judge's home, roughing him up and trying to intimidate him. Nick panicked and shot the judge in the head, killing him, then the criminals fled. Jack arrived and held the judge as he died. --Daredevil I#285 ([Daredevil I#285 (fb)], 285, [286 (fb)], 286 |

(Daredevil I#286 (fb) - BTS) - Frankie heard the judge sentenced his friend and he was furious. (Daredevil I#286) - Frankie and his friend Nick broke into the judge's home to rough him up, but Nick panicked and shot the judge in the head, killing him.
