History:
(Punisher Annual II#5 (fb) - BTS) - The CEO of Ampersand Communications, Mr. Mazzilli hired Max E. Mumm, a talented computer specialist, to design him a sophisticated and self-preserving computer virus, telling Max it was for the government. Mumm designed Ultra-Max, and Mazzilli quickly uploaded it into the computers of his rivals at Raycom, hoping to ruin its president, Ray Fortuna.
(Punisher Annual II#5) - Mumm asked Mazzilli where Ultra-Max was, and Mazzilli assured him everything was under control before having the boy fired and thrown out of the building. Mazzilli then sent his men in to steal a shipment of drugs from Fortuna's employees, but the Punisher got involved, killing several of Mazzilli's and Fortuna's thugs. The Ultra-Max virus was nearly destroyed by Mumm from afar, but it replicated itself into Mumm's home computer.
(Daredevil Annual I#8/1 (fb) - BTS) - Mazzilli hired Bushwacker to go after Max E. Mumm and kill him, also telling him to destroy Mumm's computers. He then hired Deathlok to make sure the Ultra-Max virus was destroyed completely.
(Daredevil Annual I#8/1) - Mazzilli ranted to his long-time lawyer, Miss Spindler, about how expensive this Ultra-Max project was turning out to be, and he threatened to strangle her in a moment of frustration. He ordered his secretary to tell Sanderson that the company satellites were working properly. Chauffeur George gave a ride to Mazzilli and Spindler. Mazzilli was furious when he discovered Bushwacker had failed in his mission, but then Daredevil attacked, confronting him on his actions, though Mazzilli denied everything. Daredevil took Mazzilli into the police station, where Spindler advised him to be silent. Detective Sloat arrested Mazzilli, though Spindler warned him it wouldn't stand up in court.
