Powers/Abilities: After undergoing Terrigenesis, Frank McGee, also known as Nur, developed the ability to emit a blinding light from his eyes that is capable of being used in a number of different ways. McGee's light can be used to calm others, to take detailed photographs of a crime scene (which he can then recount in his brain in perfect detail, with the abillity to zoom in on), to blind others, to hit others with a concussive optic blast, or to attach to a pair of guns which can then fire light blasts. McGee is a storied police detective with decades of experience, trained in detective work and interrogation. McGee often rides on a flying motorcycle or in a flying car. He speaks rudimentary French.

Hair: Brown and white
History:
(Daredevil I#606 (fb) - BTS) - A veteran detective with nearly 30 years of experience, Frank McGee heard from a confidential informant that Wilson Fisk had buried 10 bodies underneath one of his skyscrapers. Knowing they'd have to tear the building down to get at the bodies, McGee was helpless to act.
(Uncanny Inhumans#11 (fb) - BTS) - While working a case, McGee once saw specs of Stark Tower.
(Inhuman#7 (fb) - BTS) - Frank McGee was exposed to the Terrigen Mists, granting him the ability to flash light from his eyes. McGee was suddenly encouraged to take an early retirement, and his wife asked him to move out, claiming that the light in his eyes was giving her nightmares.
(Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost#1 (fb) ) - McGee stayed on the force for a time, but didn't fit in, and he chose to quit. He heard of Misty Knight before he left. McGee had two teenage daughters at home that were often addicted to their phones, and he encouraged them to unplug regularly.
(Inhuman#7 (fb) - BTS) - McGee went to New Attilan, seeking refuge.
(Uncanny Inhumans#15 (fb) ) - McGee went to the bar in New Attilan, and the resident police officer there, Auran, sought him out, wanting him with investigations. They liked each other immediately and began working on cases together. Auran came up with new ways for McGee to use his powers.
(Inhuman#7 (fb) - BTS) - Auran named him Nur, but he preferred to go by his real name.
(Inhuman#7) - McGee and Auran found three Inhuman civilians seeking to buy black market Terrigen, and they disrupted the sale. Auran soon introduced McGee to Medusa, who asked the two of them to find Black Bolt, the queen revealing that her husband was still alive. They hit the streets in New York City, where Auran refused to hide who she was even though McGee kept his eyes covered, and they soon entered a bar when Auran heard whispers that could lead them to Black Bolt. They drew guns and confronted Maximus in his home, but Maximus telepathically commanded Black Bolt to speak, and the room blew up. McGee was knocked out, and Auran was vaporized.
(Inhuman#8) - McGee returned to New Attilan and delivered news of Auran's death to Medusa and Gorgon. After checking in with Elejea, McGee delivered the news to Auran's twins that their mother had died. McGee joined Gorgon and Inferno at Eldrac the door, and McGee convinced Eldrac to open for them. After they passed through, they found themselves in the Himalayas, where Maximus seemed to be about to force Black Bolt to jump off a cliff. When Inferno was too frightened to use his powers, McGee gave off a flash of light, blinding Maximus. Maximus forced Black Bolt to speak a few times, sending detonations through the mountains around them, and Gorgon and Inferno hunkered down to protect themselves. McGee avoided the blasts, then shot Maximus. Black Bolt, free from mental control, used sound to vaporize Maximus' hands, then Maximus fell into the frozen valleys below. Black Bolt grabbed the Inhuman Codex, then flew away.
(Uncanny Inhumans#6 (fb) - BTS) - After Auran's death, McGee acted as the guardian for Auran's twins, Irelle and Treste.
(Inhuman#9) - Elejea welcomed Sterilon, Lineage, Frank McGee, Triton, Ms. Marvel, Inferno, Gabriela Petruz, Gorgon, Naja, and others to the funeral for Vinatos. Medusa shockingly entered, her personality having been inverted by a spell, and she cruelly flung Vinatos' coffin out into the river.
(Inhuman#12) - Inferno, Frank McGee, Naja, and Flint defended New Attilan against the military forces of Ennilux. Black Bolt arrived and easily defeated the forces, impressing the others.
(Inhuman#13) - Medusa asked McGee to accompany her, Triton, and Elejea on a mission to a Kree base that Black Bolt had destroyed. Lineage led the others through Eldrac the door, but then abandoned them there, leaving them near Orollan to face Lash and his Tribe, including Mother Bones, Grove, and Kacy.
(Inhuman#14) - During the fight with the Tribe, McGee attached wires from his guns to his eyes, allowing him to fire light blasts at his foes, though Elejea protected the others with a shield.
(Inhuman Annual#1) - McGee heard Lineage spoke telepathically to all of the Inhumans, saying it was time to seize power. McGee, Medusa, and Triton prepared for war and were soon attacked by the Tribe. Grove slashed at McGee with a knife. As they were nearly defeated, Eldrac reached through and saved Medusa, McGee, and Triton, and then sent them on to New Attilan, where Lineage was defeated when Karnak burst out of his chest, returning to life.
(Uncanny Inhumans#1/2 (fb) - BTS) - Medusa tasked McGee with tracking the Inhumans who had gone missing when the city had crashed months before. Gorgon asked McGee to find his son, Petras.
(Uncanny Inhumans#1/2) - McGee and Naja recruited Flint for a mission to find the missing Glass Girl in Morocco. When they battled local criminals, they had Glass Girl form a small lens so that McGee could focus his light through it. McGee apologized to Gorgon for not finding Petras yet.
(Uncanny Inhumans#6) - In New Attilan, McGee was being recorded by Irelle, who wanted to gather as many memories of her mother as possible, when Medusa called, asking him to come to the Quiet Room to help with an investigation, after the substance Antigen was stolen from Ennilux during a meeting. Taking Inferno with him, McGee met Marishi Spin, who represented Ennilux, and he saw Treste flirting with Reader. He scolded Reader (with Forey) for not knowing Treste was only 16, as Black Bolt battled Ajaxis and Toz nearby.
(Uncanny Inhumans#7) - McGee took Reader (with Forey), Iso, and Treste and entered the room where the Antigen had been stolen, and he used his light powers to take an image of the room, which he could then zoom in on, and he found a piece of fox fur. Forey smelled the fox fur, with a boost from Reader's powers, and they tracked the scent to the Capo, revealed to be alive and possessing humans. Reader tried to put Treste to sleep to protect her, but Capo hit Reader, McGee, and Inferno with the Antigen, blocking their powers. McGee shot Capo, then Treste pushed Reader out of the way of Capo's claws, getting wounded in the process. Capo possessed a pizza man until McGee threatened his life, then Capo abandoned the man, possessed Forey, and rushed away. McGee secured the Antigen and returned to the Quiet Room, where he gave the device to Black Bolt.
(Uncanny Inhumans#11) - Medusa asked Karnak and Iso to investigate Tony Stark's weaknesses, and McGee offered to help them.
(Uncanny Inhumans#12) - When Stark Tower was destroyed, Medusa expected Iron Man would blame the Inhumans, so she put New Attilan on lockdown, and she left Iso in charge of the city while taking McGee, with Lockjaw, to investigate who blew up the Tower. They met Flagman and Black Bolt at the Quiet Room, where McGee suspected Ahura first and foremost of the attack. Lockjaw took McGee and Medusa to Venice, where they questioned Ahura before seeing news footage that Lash and the Tribe were attacking a Stark facility in Switzerland. Then the Ultimates showed up.
(Uncanny Inhumans#13) - McGee watched Lash and the Tribe, pretending to be Medusa's allies, attack the Ultimates, starting a battle. Medusa promised to surrender in two days if they couldn't solve their struggles, but she realized that Maximus was likely behind it all.
(Daredevil V#12 (fb) - BTS) - Frank McGee was called by Officer Scott about a number of Inhuman corpses who had been arranged in an art piece by the serial killer, Muse. McGee took the New Attilan police to investigate.
(Daredevil V#12) - McGee and the police identified several of the Inhuman corpses, including Binka and Marty Mackowitz. After meeting Matt Murdock and Sam Chung, McGee took a visual snapshot of the room (causing the others to complain about the light). At Murdock's request, McGee took Daredevil into New Attilan so the hero could meet Medusa and ask for help in taking down the killer. McGee watched as Medusa refused to help Daredevil, who had to knock Karnak back when he attacked, then McGee walked Daredevil out, promising to help him. Just then, Daredevil got a call that Muse, the killer, was attacking a courtroom.
(Daredevil V#13) - Taking an Inhuman craft, Frank McGee and Daredevil went after Muse, who set off fireworks at the courthouse to cover his escape into the tunnels.
(Daredevil V#14) - McGee and Daredevil found Blindspot's phone and McGee prepared to call in his resources at New Attilan to find the boy, but Daredevil sat in the street, focusing on using his super-senses to find Muse, which he soon did. Daredevil exposed Muse, who rushed to the rooftops to escape, but Muse found McGee and the New Attilan police waiting to arrest him. McGee promised Muse would be punished, and he vowed to get medical help for Blindspot, who had had his eyes gouged out by Muse.
(Uncanny Inhumans#14) - Iron Man's drones took over New Attilan and captured Black Bolt. Iso gathered Reader, Flint, Grid, Naja, Inferno, and others as Karnak challenged her to take control of defending Attilan. Iso lashed out at the drones with her powers, then built a pressure dome over the city, holding off the drones while she inspired the Inhumans to fight for their city.
(Death of X#4) - In a conflict with the X-Men outside Madrid, Spain, the Inhumans sought to defend the Terrigen Cloud as the mutants sought to destroy it. When Magik hit Black Bolt with the Soul Sword, McGee hit her with a light blast. In the end, one of the Terrigen Clouds was destroyed. Black Bolt later seemingly killed Cyclops, intensifying the war with the X-Men.
(Uncanny Inhumans#15) - Treste and Irelle continued interviewing McGee about their mother, but he got emotional and left. Later, he returned to their room, discovering they had printed all of their interviews in Braille, and he realized they were going to get Reader to try to bring Auran back to life. He rushed to a transport, then over to the Quiet Room, where (after questioning Flagman) he found Reader (with Forey), Treste, and Irelle standing before a now-living version of Auran, who screamed in pain due to the noise in her hyper-sensitive ears.
(Uncanny Inhumans#16) - Furious at Reader, McGee comforted the twins as they realized this wasn't really their mother. McGee drew a gun, trying to calm Auran down, but she grabbed the gun, hit him with his own light blast, then fled. Reader used his second read to heal McGee. They rushed into the Quiet Room, finding Auran battling Flagman and the security forces, and the twins convinced her to stand down. When Black Bolt entered the room, Auran inadvertently stole his voice without meaning to, making her incredibly dangerous.
(Uncanny Inhumans#17) - Black Bolt kept Auran in control as he had McGee and the others evacuate the Quiet Room.
(IVX#2) - When the X-Men stormed New Attilan, McGee fired at Psylocke before Magik teleported him to Otherplace, trapping him there with other Inhumans.
(IVX#3) - Naja, Flint, Medusa, Frank McGee, the Human Torch, Gorgon, and others were trapped in Otherplace. McGee suggested they find the X-Men headquarters, which was in Otherplace, and find their way home.
(IVX#4) - Medusa found a way to overload the shield containing them, using the powers of the others, then the group escaped and defeated the Otherplace demons who attacked them. They soon attacked the mansion, then Colossus attacked.
(IVX#5) - In Otherplace, Medusa led McGee, Flint, Naja, and the Human Torch battled robots while Gorgon held off Colossus. They found Havok holding Black Bolt in stasis, but Havok chose to let him without a fight go rather than kill him. Reader (with Forey), Synapse, Lockjaw, and Karnak teleported in to help the others escape to the Phillipines.
(IVX I#6) - Lockjaw teleported Medusa, Naja, Reader (with Forey), Karnak, Black Bolt, Flint, Frank McGee, and Synapse to Iceland, where they joined with Ms. Marvel, Crystal, Grid, Inferno, Quake, and Mosaic in facing off with the X-Men. Emma seized mental control over some of the Inhumans, forcing them to fight their allies. Naja knocked out Storm, not realizing that Mosaic was possessing her. As the Inhumans began realizing Emma Frost had been manipulating events, Iso, Moon Girl (with Devil Dinosaur), and Forge arrived from Ennilux with a device that would destroy the Terrigen Cloud, as they realized that not doing so would result in the death of all mutants on Earth. Medusa destroyed the Cloud, and Emma Frost was exposed as being behind events. She launched a group of Inhuman-hunting Sentinels and they opened fire on the Ennilux ships, killing many. (Old Man Logan saved Inferno from being hit). Medusa was ready to defeat Frost, but Havok turned on her and teleported away with Frost. Medusa delivered the news of the Terrigen destruction to her people, then she abdicated the throne, giving it over to Iso. Iso planned to hold elections.
(Inhumans Prime#1) - McGee joined a large group of Inhumans in taking down the Unspoken and Maximus the Mad.
(Mosaic#6) - Mosaic possessed Lockjaw and caused damage throughout the city, slamming into McGee when he tried to contain the dog.
(Uncanny Inhumans#20/2) - McGee joined other Inhumans in celebrating Medusa at the Quiet Room.
(Secret Warriors II#2 (fb) ) - Outside New Attilan, Inferno, Naja, Grid, and Frank McGee saw Hydra, led by Mr. Hyde, invade the city and take many captive, including Iso. They stayed in hiding in the city for a few days, and they ended up battling Hydra when soldiers identified them. Inferno's powers were overloaded and he got separated from the others.
(Black Bolt#8) - When Black Bolt arrived in New Attilan with the alien child Blinky, McGee and the others prepared to fight him, assuming he was Maximus in disguise, but McGee told them to stand down when he realized it was the real Black Bolt.
(Secret Warriors II#10) - When Inferno stole a ship, McGee accompanied Inhuman guards, under the lead of Iso, to confront the Secret Warriors team.
(Secret Warriors II#11) - Iso moved to arrest the Secret Warriors, but Magik teleported them away. A large group of Inhumans, including McGee, teleported to the Tower of Wisdom to battle Mr. Sinister and the Unhumans. After the battle, Iso had the Tower of Wisdom and Mr. Sinister's Terrigen research destroyed, determining a new future for the Inhumans.
(Daredevil I#597 (fb) - BTS) - McGee heard that Muse had escaped New Attilan's cell and killed 12 guards. McGee began monitoring communication devices in New York City to find Muse or Daredevil.
(Daredevil I#597) - McGee took his security force to find Daredevil, who had just stopped a bodega from being robbed. McGee used his bright flash to temporarily disable the cops seeking to arrest Daredevil, then he took the hero for a ride in his air-car, where he explained about Muse. They then got word from Blindspot that Muse had left a giant art display on a building.
(Inhumans: Judgment Day#1 (fb) - BTS) - McGee was sent to fetch Reader, returning him through Eldrac.
(Inhumans: Judgment Day#1) - McGee, Reader (with Forey), Crystal, and Marvel Boy met Medusa when she returned to Earth with the Primagen, and they were soon joined by Maximus, Captain Swain, and Panacea. The Progenitors soon attacked, and were only narrowly defeated after Reader sent Medusa to the Astral Plane.
(Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost#1) - Daredevil called McGee for help, and he rode a flying motorcycle. McGee took a picture of the city from high above. Daredevil asked for help finding the body of Wolverine, which had gone missing, and McGee was willing despite his dislike of the X-Men because he was bored defending New Attilan, though he knew Iso would disapprove of his mission if she found out. McGee introduced himself to Misty Knight in the bar, convincing her to help with the case. They got into a flying car, where McGee told the others he spoke French, then they went to the home of Cypher, a mutant language savant who was addicted to the Internet. McGee shot through the power source to turn off the Internet, causing Cypher to open fire on him and the others, and Daredevil had to knock Cypher out to calm him down. They got him a burger, then Cypher began tracking Wolverine's information on the web.
(Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost#2) - Cypher sorted through the data, and McGee found himself ready to do detective work with Misty, who he was attracted to. They questioned a nurse at McCarthy Medical Institute, then went to Phoenix where he questioned a biker who claimed Wolverine had attacked him. The four heroes soon responded to a request for aid from a ranger station in Saskatchewan, the rangers saying a man with claws had attacked. McGee, Knight, and Daredevil found dead rangers and went rushing into the woods after hearing screams, telling Cypher to stay behind and protect himself.
(Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost#3) - McGee, Knight, and Daredevil found Cypher with his throat cut, but realized he was still alive. McGee rushed the boy back to the Inhuman craft, where he had life-saving Inhuman tech, and stabilized him, then he helped the others battle the perpetrator, Albert, who they soon apprehended and disabled. Back on the ship, McGee and Knight had a drink and shared a kiss before Cypher showed them more intel about finding Wolverine. They followed the lead to Chicago, where they found a body that then blew up.
(Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost#4) - Misty Knight's cybernetic arm ended up saving their lives, as she used a force field and its extensions to get them over the next roof. After saving civilians, McGee used his ability to hone in on crime scenes to find a clue, leading them to a company called Soteira. There, they found agents trying to destroy files, so McGee smashed his craft through the wall and traded gunfire, with Knight's help, while Cypher got the data they needed. The heroes fled as Soteira killed their own men, but Cypher got intel that Wolverine was working for the company against his will. Daredevil took the intel back to the X-Men. McGee, realizing he still had feelings for his wife, ended things with Knight, but wondered if he might spend more time out of New Attilan solving crimes.
(Daredevil I#606 (fb) ) - McGee was approached by Daredevil, who said he had intel that Wilson Fisk, now the mayor, had rigged the election, and he wanted McGee's help in exposing it. McGee agreed to assemble a team to help. After recruiting Cypher and Reader (with Forey), McGee brought Daredevil to a meeting at an abandoned library, where he introduced Daredevil to his new allies and they discussed strategies against Fisk.
(Daredevil I#607) - At Daredevil's request, McGee contacted Sterilon, and he read the mind of a man who claimed to be Mike Murdock, the twin brother of Matt. McGee promised to pay Sterilon back later. They went back to Reader, who realized he'd used his powers by accident to create a shell of a person with Mike Murdock's identity. As Reader prepared to "erase" Mike, Mike woke up, drew a gun, and took the dog Forey captive, covering his own escape.
(Daredevil I#608) - McGee waited with Reader on a nearby rooftop while Matt lured Mike Murdock into Central Park, but Matt ultimately chose to let Mike live, not wanting Reader to "unread" him.
(Marvel Rising II#3) - Mosaic stood with Iso and Frank McGee when the forces of Morgan le Fey attacked New Attilan. They were surprised to see Inferno loyal to her, under a spell. Morgan disappeared for a time and returned with her forces. Iso led the defense with Inhumans, including Emulator, and they were soon joined by Ms. America, Quake, Squirrel Girl, Spider-Man (Miles Morales), and Tippy-Toe. Le Fey soon pressed her attack by activating Treshie the Trash Monster.
(Marvel Rising II#5) - McGee was present when they finished their battle with Morgan le Fey, and he helped clean up the city.
